It is 2017 and feminism is still an active topic that is often discussed in today's society. Equal rights, fair pay, and open sexuality are what the first three waves focused on. All of those issues were important issues that needed resolved within the first three waves, but how far is too far? The fourth wave that feminism, which is what society is focusing on today focuses on topics such as "free the nipple". This essentially allows women to be able to show off their breasts simply for the fact that guys are able to be seen shirtless. Those for it will take their shirts off, exposing their breasts for the world to see, put small stickers on their nipples, and post the photo on social media.

I am not sure about you, but I am slightly confused about what this is accomplishing other than the simple fact that everyone has now seen your boobs. I also don't care to see this while scrolling through Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or Snapchat. Quite frankly, the issue that these feminists are trying to address puzzles me. They want to be able to show off their breasts and have their nipples free because men are able to but have these feminists not realized that they are not men? It is simply inappropriate for a lady to have her boobs out in public, other than to breast feed. The purpose of breasts is to feed a child and nothing more than that.

If that is what a woman would like to do, however, it is her body and she has that right. Living in the United States of America, it is acceptable for one to express themselves in this way. That is not where the big issue comes in for me. The issue I have with the fourth wave of feminism is the fact that women are now putting other women down for wanting to be "traditional".

I'm not sure about you, but I would never want to be responsible for being the head of my family. Being in charge would mean that I would be the head bread winner and should support my family. This means that I could not be a stay at home mom. It also means I could not really raise my children since I would always be working.

With this new wave of feminism, I think women should focus on allowing each and every female to live the life that they choose to live. Stop putting one another down, if one wants to be a stay at home mom, do not shame them for it. If one wants to expose her breasts for " equality" let them do that as well. This wave of feminism should focus on women supporting each other instead of women attacking each other for one's views.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
