Feminism isn’t always a topic that is talked about nor supported by everyone and that is okay. Last week, I walked into my composition class to a professor who was a feminist freak and I was thrown off a little. I completely agree that women should be treated equal but I never encountered a feminist freak. Today, in our society women aren’t treated equal and this is sad. Men are getting paid more than the woman who is working her butt off, while being a mom, wife and daughter at the same time. What makes men so special? And why do they get special rights, because they aren’t women.
Feminism should never die, and should always be talked about and supported. We live in a free country where we have the right to protest what we believe in while being safe and respectful. Sometimes we are so consumed with other issues in our country such as political views and never focus on what is more important and affects a lot of people. Feminism is important and is underrated by most people, and why is this happening?? Because we are often too consumed with everyone else’s life that we forget what is happening right in front of us every day. Point is, fight for what you think is right and love what you are fighting.
