America is my home. I was born here and I grew up here. My heart swells at the thought of it, alone. The nice, long road trips to the many different people of different cultures all laughing together. The smell of fresh pumpkin pie when fall rounds the corner is always a treat. The red and white stripes are a sign that we have freedom to be us. But now, the dream is crashing down. The ultimate reason everyone wants to be in America is being stripped of its honor and thrown right into the trash. This year's election has been filled with extremists. Now, the worst of them all is Donald Trump. Let us put all the hate aside for a minute and just look at his ways, shall we? Oh wait, most of his campaign runs on hate.
Though, that should be the first thing you notice to make you run, I give you the excuse of the election always being a little heated. Let me ask you, why is America so great? Is it because of our food? Our love for animals? Our freedom of religion? Our country being a melting pot? If you answer yes to these, then I am sorry but this is not Donald Trump. Honestly speaking, this is facts: Donald Trump does not want our country to be a melting pot. He does not want Muslims here, so where is freedom of religion? His sons poach animals for fun, some show of love.
What do Americans look for in a leader? Safety? Reliability? Honesty? Love for his people? Well, I can completely assure you he loves his people. But his people does not mean the whole of America. Safety? You think building a wall will really help us? Why do we need a wall? To stop illegal immigrants? To stop drugs from coming in? Guys, really? You are just isolating America from the rest of the world. Americans are not the only people in this world. To be an American is great, but we are all citizens of this world as well. As for reliability, please tell me you watch the news. Trump has been contradicting his own words since he got on board for the run for the presidency. How can you trust a man who has been changing his views constantly? As for honesty, please just please be able to answer that on your own. If you answer that he is completely honest, then good luck to you.
Listen, I am not saying this to support Hillary, but at this point, you really need to understand what is better for the country. As Michelle Obama said, America is already great. How do we make it great again if it is already great?
Trump is running his campaign on hate. Hate and discrimination against religions, race and gender. We, as Americans, should not tolerate it. We have always fought for our beliefs and freedom, so there is no need to even think twice about who to pick in this election. Pick not only for yourself but for where you want to see this country in the next four years. Do you want a country that is a hundred years behind? Or a country that continues to make the future great for our future generations? Pick wisely because our future lies in your hands.
