This past Summer I treated myself to the apple watch. I did my research and decided to make the purchase. With all of the research and youtube videos I watched, I didn't know why I couldn't find a video that explained what the watch actually did. There were many tutorials but I wanted someone to explain to me what makes the apple watch so great. Once getting the watch I quickly realized that the watch is whatever you want the watch to be. With so many personal touches you can add or change to your watch, you can make it a social watch, more fitness based, or both. Here is a list of some of my favorite features.

1. You can make and answer phone calls/texts.

This is one of my favorite features. What kid has not dreamed of having their own Dick Tracy watch (spy watch). On the watch you can answer, ignore, decline, and dial calls. This is most useful for me while driving. Immediate text updates on your wrist is nice too. Very convenient for the busy person.

2. Siri is your personal assistant.

Siri actually gets it right on my apple watch. I rarely ever have to repeat myself to siri. I can lift my wrist and hands free set an alarm, make a call, send or reply text messages and countless other things.

3. You can pay with your watch.

As if apple pay on your phone wasn't easy enough, it is even easier to be able to lift your wrist and pay without digging for your phone or wallet.

4. One glance and I can see weather, schedule, time, date and battery life, etc...

One glance and I have all the practical information I have ever needed throughout the day.

5. The fitness tracker and available apps are the BOMB.COM

Not only does the fitness tracker track everything you would want to know, but the watch makes you healthier. A study has shown that if you stand for at least one hour a day then you are proven to be healthier. One reason being proper blood flow. The apple watch reminds you every hour to get up if it detects you have not been up in a while.

I am so happy I spent the money on the apple watch. No matter how you plan on using your watch I guarantee you will not be disappointed. If interested in buying an apple watch, this is how I saved money getting mine. I bought my apple watch refurbished through best buy. I have had no problems with my watch and paid a much lower price. I have the 42mm rose gold, stone colored band. Normally the 42mm is around $350.00. I paid $260, $290 with shipping costs. After ordering I learned I could have picked up the watch at best buy without paying shipping. I love my watch and have worn it EVERYDAY.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
