I am so obsessed with make-up and skin care products. I typically purchase a good amount of drug store products, but I recently made a Sephora haul and wanted to share some of my favorites as of right now. Even though product at Sephora can be pricey, it is all great quality and totally worth what you pay for.
1. Hourglass N°28 Primer Serum
$65.00
This is my favorite oil-blend serum ever. It is a richly concentrated and very hydrating face primer, which is great for people with dry skin. It is very silky, evens out pores, and helps create a refined surface for make-up to be applied.
2. Too Faced Soleil Matte Bronzer
$30.00
If there is one product I cannot live without, it is definitely bronzer. I have tried so many different types of bronzers, especially to find ones that do not make you look organgey. The Too Faced Soleil Matte Bronzer in the color “Chocolate” is by far the best. Not only does it give your face that perfect, matte look, but it smells great as well! One of the main ingredients is Cocoa, which adds a delicious, chocolaty smell to the bronzer.
3. Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Contour Kit
$40.00
If you are a fan of contouring like I am, the Anastasia Cream Contour Kit is the way to go. It has three highlight shades and three contour shades in one easy-to-use palette. I use the light to medium kit, but there are other kits for each skin tone. I prefer this rather than the powder contour kit mainly because the cream is easier to blend and it gives more of an airbrushed look. It works especially well for people with dry skin and lasts all day if applied correctly.
4. Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder
$38.00
All Laura Mercier products are so bomb. This setting powder is very lightweight and leaves the skin with a flawless finish. I love to use this to set my concealer and highlighted areas of my face. It smooths away fine lines and imperfections as it sets on the face while still managing to look very natural.
5. Urban Decay Naked Illuminated Shimmering Powder for Face and Body
$30.00
This lightweight, baked powder is the perfect highlighting product. I use it in the color “Champagne” so it creates a light, shimmery highlight on desired areas of the face. It gives the perfect glowing, radiant look.
6. Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray
$30.00
This is by far the best setting spray in the game. It is a weightless spray that keeps your make-up looking fresh for up to 16 hours. It only takes two to four sprays and it actually lowers the temperature of your foundation, blush, concealer, and whatever else to keep it all in place. The spray creates smoother looking skin and a clean look that lasts all day without cracking or fading. I could not live without this stuff.
7. Tarte Tartiest™ Sculpt & Slim Contour Brush
$34.00
Again, I am a contour freak, so of course I had to get the best quality contour brush. This brush by Tarte enhances your best features when you contour and highlight. It has an ergonomic design and fluffy fan bristles to shape the cheekbones and enhance the contours of the face. The smaller brush is made to target, shade, and highlight the nose, under eye, and brow bones while the fan brush blends over harsh lines. This brush makes contouring so easy and it feels so soft on the face.
8. Kat Von D Makeup Wipes
$10.00
With wearing all of this product comes cleaning your face at the end of the day. My favorite part of my nightly routine is to use makeup remover wipes. These Kat Von D wipes are oil-free and completely remove long-wear makeup. These work well for sensitive skin because the wipes have such a gentle texture. My favorite!
Some of these products are expensive, but I promise they are all totally worth it. I used to be big on drug store makeup, but it would sometimes cause me to break out. While using high quality product from Sephora, my face has never been clearer. All of the makeup feels so good on my face and looks great too. I am so in love with makeup and I have to say, Sephora is my favorite store and has so many different brands and styles to choose from. It never disappoints!
