My Favorite YouTubers

I am addicted to many things.

I am addicted to pasta, I am addicted to vegetables, I am addicted to exercise, tattoos, piercings, old movies, Frank Sinatra, etc., etc. I am also addicted to YouTube.

Yeah, that sounds a tad weird. I spend my mornings, afternoons, and evenings - any down time I get - watching YouTube videos made by people I will never have a personal relationship, and yet, they give me so much happiness and advice. I'm currently watching YouTube videos while writing this video, in fact. And so, since YouTube is such a big part of my life, I thought I ought to share with you a few of my favorite YouTubers, from singers to lifestyle bloggers, and everything in between. Here is a list of five of my top YouTubers. Give them a watch!

1) Lucy Moon.

Lucy never fails to excite and satisfy. She posts a variety of videos on a regular basis, and I find that I love to listen to her talk about political/social issues, her favorite way to make tea, how to talk to your crush, and so many more themes and topics. She's a lovely British chick who is constantly collaborating with other YouTubers, and is constantly talking about hot bed issues and the like. Fun stuff. Tons of fun stuff. Check her out by searching her name: Lucy Moon.

2) Dodie Clark.

Dodie is one of the cutest, sweetest, most genuine souls on YouTube that I have yet to see so far. She makes music, and she makes such soulful, real content on her vlog channel. She is so comfortable to watch, and you just feel at home when she's speaking. She's a cute little British chick like Lucy (they're friends, dude), so if you dig accents, genuine content, and La La Land (something SHE'S addicted to) give Dodie a watch.

Her vlog channel: doddlevloggle

Her main channel: doddleoddle

3) Tessa Violet.

I've been watching this girl since she was making bad a** music videos in 2011 when she went by "meekakitty" (Seriously, check out her music video for Love You Like a Love Song. It's dope). Now, years later, her channel has evolved into one full of homemade songs, classy and fun "get ready with me" videos, and videos where she talks on important political and social issues. She's got some rad pink hair, and she's such a fun soul. Check her out! Her main channel can be found by searching her name: Tessa Violet.

4) Jenn Im.

I don't watch a lot of lifestyle/fashion bloggers, but Jenn is the exception to this. She is so fun to watch as she recites her monthly favorites and lets her viewers into her life with her monthly vlogs (she recently got engaged!) If you're looking for a fresh take in the world of beauty bloggers, give Jenn a try.

Her main channel: clothesencounters

5) Dottie James.

Dottie publishes videos in which she recites her poetry and the results of her creative mind. She recently cleaned out her channel, leaving only two videos left, but she publishes regularly and her content is creative and lovely. She is a deep thinker, like I am, and I just feel as though I understand her. If you're looking for a creative, poetic soul, check out Dottie's channel. Just search her name: Dottie James.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
