There are still a good two months of summer left, so it makes sense to embrace the greatest summer trends while you still can. One great thing about most trends is that we have most likely seen something similar in the past. For example, high-waisted jeans and shorts or metallics. So have no fear; if you buried something deep in your closet because of how out-of-date it was, there is always a chance that item will come back and be relevant. In fact, most of my favorite trends from summer 2015 have been seen before.
1. Tall Gladiator Sandals
OKAY. I LOVE THIS TREND. I feel like it comes back. There is something about this look that is so elegant, but also sexy and daring. Paired with a light colored, flowy dress, or some distressed denim shorts, this look will surely be a go-to when looking for a chic outfit that will still keep you cool in the heat. Chloè has a killer pair for a cool $1370. But if you’re on a budget like most college kids like my age, you would want to go for a pair from Zara for $160, or Steve Madden for $99.

2. BOLD RED
I typically go for more neutral tones in my fashion choices, but when I do add color, it is almost always red. Red is so effortlessly chic and sexy. According to "Vogue Paris," fashion houses like Miu Miu and Louis Vuitton are using bold, red silhouettes in clothing that are mimicking the effects of a bright red lip, or striking red nails. Whether it be wearing a red skirt with a plain top, or a bright red dress with neutral accessories, a bold, red look will make you look RED HOT this Summer. If you cannot afford to drop a couple thousand on a “smock and eel” Louis Vuitton dress, Zara has a range of perfect red dresses for $50-$70.

3. STRIPES STRIPES STRIPES
I AM A BIG FAN OF THIS ONE. Celebrities such as Taylor Swift and Beyonce have been seen rocking this trend. One great thing about stripes is that you can dress it up or down. Whether it be a full on striped dress, or a simple striped t-shirt with jeans or shorts, this is the most versatile trend. Stripes go along with the very popular nautical trend. Therefore, they channel your inner rich, preppy kid on a yacht in Cape Cod. Stripes have been said to be a tricky trend because they could be unflattering, depending on your body type. But I personally believe that if you feel good in it, WHO CARES? GO FOR IT. J.Crew is filled with decently priced striped pieces that will satisfy your every need.

4. All Denim Everything
Yes, jeans have always been around, but fashion houses such as Gucci, Burberry, and Tommy Hilfiger have taken denim to a whole new level. Gucci’s Spring/Summer denim runway look embodied more of a cowgirl look, while Burberry made their classic trench denim, and Tommy Hilfiger made a patchwork denim suit. Other big denim trends are pairing a denim top with a denim bottom, which used to be a big no-no in the fashion world. Now pairing a dark wash denim button up with a light wash skirt is totally chic. Celebs rocking this trend include Kim Kardashian and Zendaya. I love that a whole denim ensemble is so fashionable, but also so effortless and cheap to do. You do not have to break the bank by buying a 2000 dollar denim Burberry Trench-coat; you can simply go to Zara, Forever 21, or even Target, and get everything you need for this look. Or, odds are, you probably already have everything you need for it in your closet.

5. Feathers and Fringe
This one is for all of you Bohemian fashion lovers. Fringe and feathers can be seen on a variety of accessories and clothing items. Whether it’s fringe on a bag, kimono, dress, shirt, or skirt, or feathers on a dress, cape, or skirt, these two elements add a flirty and chic element to every outfit. Celebs like Blake Lively have been seen rocking this, and Fendi and Balenciaga have incorporated these into their Summer collections. For the cheaper options, Nasty Gal and Zara have many different fringe/feathery items to choose from.
