It's after Thanksgiving, so now nobody can be Grinches to anyone who is just as excited about Christmas as I am.

One of the best parts about Christmas is the movies. Christmas movies are sacred in my family, and I will be watching them over and over AND OVER AGAIN.

For the fanatics like me, here are my top Christmas movies.

1. Home Alone

Don't even try to argue with me. Mcaulley Culkin. Joe Pesci. You have the whole house to yourself, even though the circumstance is that your parents forgot you. (Still not so sure how your parents do that, but whatever). Also, what kind of jobs did these parents have to afford that house?

Merry Christmas, ya filthy animals.

2. Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer

HOW CAN YOU NOT LOVE THIS MOVIE? Rudolph is the cutest thing ever, and you feel bad because he is the reject. But why? his nose is bad ass, and I'd wanna be friends with him.

3. Santa Claus Is Coming To Town

Winter Warlock is my personal favorite, but this is the story of how Santa became Santa, and where he came from. Fred Astaire is the mailman who narrarates it, and I just love it.

PUT ONE FOOT IN FRONT OF THE OTHER, AND SOON YOU'LL BE WALKING OUT THE DOOR

4. Christmas Vacation

Because we all have a cousin Eddie from "that" side of the family. This is an all-time classic that we can relate to, and also love.

We are all the Griswolds.

5. Polar Express

I honestly cry watching this movie, not because it's sad, but because I absolutely love it, and Tom Hanks (like always) kicks ass. You haven't lived unless you've watched it.

6. Frosty The Snowman

Frosty just brings warmth to my heart. As a kid, we watched it on those rolling tv's on carts during the holiday season, and I still feel just the same watching it as I did as a kid. Frosty, I can't wait for you to come around EVERY year.

7. The Santa Clause (series)

Though the third is my favorite, I still forever will have a grudge with the ex wife/mother. Your new husband is a manipulative douche, how do you not see this? Your ex is ACTUALLY Santa Clause! and my all time favorites.

8. ELF

This should really go without explaining, but ELF is forever one of my favorite movies in general. Will Ferrill plays the perfect Buddy the Elf, and he's going to find his real dad who is on the naughty list, and for good reason. There are two moods of the Christmas season, and that is Buddy the Elf, and the Grinch. No in between.

9. A Year Without A Santa Clause

This will forever be my all time favorite, because it's just so good. The heat mizer! The snow mizer! Like Elf, there are two moods with Christmas, either you hate the cold (like me) or live for winter (like the snow mizer). Also, if there was actually a year without a Santa Clause, I would probably cr, like the girl who wrote the letter. Straight up.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
