Fall Time Is The Best Time.

With the heat of summer coming to end that means that Fall is right around the corner. Everything that comes with the changing of seasons, I love. Fall is one of my favorites, if not my absolute favorite season. Here're 5 reasons why Fall is the best:

1. Fall Clothing

Don't get me wrong, I love the cute clothes of summer, but there is nothing better than a good oversize sweater. I tend to love my fall wardrobe much more than my summer one. Regardless of how many items you have, you can always layer your clothes for fall. Layering is so much fun and that's exactly what you get to do. You can't go wrong with boots and I'm not talking about Uggs. I talking about the cute booties, over the knee boots and just your regular boot.

2. Cooler Weather

Nothing beats the cooler weather. Being from the South, I tend to love the cooler weather. Hence cooler weather equals fall clothes (Refer to #1). Also when cooler weather arrives, it means BONFIRES! Something about a good bonfire is good for the soul. (It actually may be the S'mores that are made at a bonfire that are good for the soul!)

3. Pumpkin EVERYTHING

Pumpkin bread, pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin pie, pumpkin ice cream, pumpkin scented candles and pumpkins in general. Pumpkin is a major staple of the fall season. Pumpkin makes everything better!

4. Leaves

I love when the leaves change colors. There's nothing quite like the colors of yellows, oranges, and reds all around until they decide to fall to the ground. Which is another reason why I love the changing of the leaves. I love the way the crunch when you step on them.

5. Food

It's just something about the fall and food. There's nothing better than a bowl of soup or chili on a chilly day. And let's not forget about Thanksgiving food. Food is better this time of the year.

ADDED BONUS: DAYLIGHT SAVINGS.

I mean... who doesn't like an extra hour of sleep!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
