We all have difficulties striving to make connections throughout our young lives. We are forever growing and becoming strong attributes to our society as we aspire to be and do great. We live in a diverse society where everyone has their own opinions and structure of life that they follow. We must be aware and careful of the things that can guide us in the right direction. Below is a list of the facts of life that I remember to do, hopefully they can help you too.

1. Always believe in yourself.

We must all be confident. I know many people may wonder "well how can I do that?". My advice to you is to look at yourself in the mirror every chance you get and simply compliment yourself.

2. Put yourself first.

You have to learn to believe that you are number one! I am not saying to be selfish, but know you are more important in your life than anyone else you know no matter how you feel.

3. Be great!

What I mean by "be great" is, be the best at everything and anything you come into contact with. Learn different ways to shine, because you are a star!

4. Surround yourself with positive people.

When you have positive people by your side, you will succeed and I promise you will be a happier person.

5. Make the best decisions

Critically think about a choice you make before doing it. Take your time to think. Dwell on if the decision will bring positivity to your life or not. Always think about the pros and cons to come to the best decision that works for you.

6. Feed yourself with love

We have to love and appreciate ourselves before we even think of loving someone else. Drown yourself in your own love and always view yourself as a golden treasure.

7. Be honest.

Please always be honest with yourself. Always tell the truth to yourself. Telling the truth will make you more positive and things will be smoother in your life.

Overall, my seven things to remember always keep me positive. It keeps me on the correct track to improve my life. In order to live the best way you have to have some type of structure. It doesn't matter what that structure is. Be happy!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
