Every single day, there is another thing for women to add to their faces. Whether its botox, lip fillers, and now, we have eyelash extensions.
I know what you're thinking: "Extensions? For eyelashes? That's ridiculous."
Yup. I thought so too. But if you think about it, how much time and money do you spend on mascara? For me, I love the look of full voluminous lashes. But whenever I use mascara, I get a clumpy look which is a bitch to remove.
I don't know about anyone else, but when I want to do anything to my body, I always look online for reviews. YouTube is a great place to see people's reviews and experiences about the product(s). When I typed in "eyelash extensions review", hundreds of videos popped up. Ninety-five percent of them were good reviews, while the other 5% gave bad reviews because they only paid $20 for the extensions.
Rule #1: Even though $20 may seem like a good deal, think about if that's a good deal for the future of your lashes.
I know I was scared of my real lashes falling out, or all of the extensions falling out at once. But if you do your research and take care of your extensions, that won't happen.
The process itself takes a few hours, and mine took about three hours. You lay in a chair, close your eyes, and relax. You can take a nap if you want, or you could chit-chat with the person who is doing your lashes.
Each extension is attached to a real lash, so they'll fall out with your normal lashes. They're not harmful to your lashes, especially if you take care of them. Taylor did my lashes, and told me to brush through them twice a day (once in the morning, and once at night).
I love the way that they turned out. I don't have to wear mascara anymore, so it cuts down more than half of the time it usually does to do my makeup. My lashes look full and voluminous, but not like fake lashes.
If you're thinking about getting eyelash extensions, DO IT! They're so worth it. They're not hard to upkeep, and they look beautiful.
