As many of you may or may not know, Greek Week is a lot of hard work, practice and dedication. For my school's Greek Week, it was a lot of trial and tribulation. Greek Week then turned into Greek month, due to major weather conditions and flooding in Louisiana. Finally, it was back on track. Greek Week is an amazing time of the year, not just for Greeks but for the whole student body. The students who aren't a part of Greek life get a taste of what we do on campus.
Southeastern Louisiana University held Greek month instead and a phenomenal month it was. Theta Phi Alpha, Pi Kappa Alpha, Kappa Alpha Order, and Delta Sigma Theta took home the Greek Week overall award, first place in sheet sign, first place in tug-o-war, first place in step show, and third place in the pie eating contest. As a collegian member of Theta Phi Alpha, I couldn't be anymore happier than I am right now. Not only were we knee deep in awards, but Greek Week has bought us closer than anyone could imagine. When each sorority is paired with their partners, they are selected randomly from The Interfraternity Council, The National Pan-Hellenic Council and, of course, Collegiate Panhellenic Council.
Our partners, Pi Kappa Alpha (IFC), Kappa Alpha Order (IFC) and Delta Sigma Theta(NPHC) also worked their behinds off! If it wasn't for them, then we wouldn't have achieved what we did! Each chapter held their own and helped when needed.
This was my first ever Greek Week and I absolutely loved it! I cannot wait for the following years to come!
