1. Getting Up

Let's face it weather you go to day or night classes, waking up for them is no fun no matter the time.

2. Going To Class

Going to class can be boring and not fun, we are generally over worked and tired so it's even harder.

3. Trying To Balance Homework And Life

Balancing everything is hard especially with lots of homework, classes and work all in one day.

4. Trying To Make Friends

Let's face it, most of the time we're at a new school where we know very little to no one and have to make a new set of friends. It can be tough, but with great execution it can be done.

5. Studying For Any Exam

Every test, quiz or major exam can lead to hours of studying depending on how many hours you study or know the material and can lead you to stay up more than you should.

6. Knowing You Can Eat Whenever

It's always a great feeling knowing that you can eat whatever and whenever at college. It's even better knowing you can stay at the dining common and eat however much you want.

7. Getting Homework Over Spring Break

It's no secret that we are all lazy over break and some off us go away to different places. No one is thinking of homework or school for that matter no matter if you're going away or not.

8. Trying To Be Good Student In/Out Of Class

School can be long, drawn out and boring and lot's of extra work we may not want to do.

9. Trying To Get Through Each Week

Each day is hard enough to get through no matter each week, everyday is challenging with goals and other things getting in the way.

10. Finally Summer Break

Getting out for summer is great, you get out for 4 months, you can finally sleep and wake up when you want to and do what you want when you want to. Their's no responsibilities, cares or anything else other than maybe working and figuring out when you hang out with your friends.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
