And even on your worst day, there will be a sunrise and a sunset, regardless of whether or not you see it. There will be a change in the temperature and a shift in the wind. There will be 353,000 new souls placed on the planet to inhabit it alongside you, whether you ever meet them or not. There will be plants that sprout and trees planted that will live longer than you and I ever will. There will be miracles and discoveries, most of them, you won't ever hear about.
And on your worst day, somebody will have their best day.
Somebody will get married, somebody will learn they're going to be a parent, somebody will celebrate their birthday or anniversary. On your worst day, others will be having a beautiful day.
And when you have your worst day, step back. There is someone who loves you. There's someone who cares about you. There's someone who wants nothing but the best for you. Sure there are times we as humans feel so incredibly alone that our bodies almost ache with the thought. But step back. I promise you, step back.
On your worst day you can turn off your phone, you can sit down with a pen and paper and write down every reason and every person who caused you to have a downright terrible day. You can make your favorite food, or drive somewhere you love. You can hop in your car and drive with no destination in mind. Just get away, take that step back, and maybe you'll realize.
Our worst days only last 24 hours. That's it.
In 24 hours think of all the things that are happening around this world, around you! Each and every one of us is so small and insignificant to the big picture of life that our worst days do not stop the sun from rising, they don't stop the sun from setting. They don't stop 353,000 births. They don't stop miracles or discoveries. They don't stop other people from having the best day of their lives. Our worst days do not affect life around us.
So even on your worst day, the world will stay turning.
If today was the worst day ever, tomorrow can only go up from there.
