It's undeniable that most of us are poor. After spending nearly $20,000 on classes, housing, and books, there isn't much left over for fine dining. However, there are great deals in the area that will save you from making Ramen for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Here are some affordable options for eating out around UCF.
$5 Burgers at Bar Louie
On Tuesday nights from 5 p.m. to close, Bar Louie offers a burger menu for $5 each, and they aren't plain old burgers. Some of the options include a Portobello mushroom burger and a burger topped with blue cheese and bacon. You also get a side of fries or tots that you can "load" with cheese and bacon for an extra dollar. I highly recommend this deal and go every Tuesday myself. There is a Bar Louie located right across from campus on Alafaya Trail.
$1 Tacos at Habanero's
Also on Tuesdays, Habanero's offers "Taco Tuesdays" with $1 tacos with the purchase of any drink. You get a choice of chicken or beef tacos and can order as many as you like. You also can choose from a soft or hard shell. The deal runs all day and Habanero's is located near campus on University, just across from Bar Louie.
$5 Sandwiches at Wawa
In case you didn't know, Wawa is a lot more that just a gas station. Wawa actually serves some really good food, including 10-inch customized sandwiches for around $5. And the best part is, it's all the time! You can grab one of these yummy sammies any time day or night. They also serve other delicious options such as mac and cheese and paninis. Wawa is located on University right down the road from campus.
Half Off Apps at Applebee's
Applebee's offers half priced apps every night after midnight, and they have a lot of good options to choose from, including mozzarella sticks, onion rings, and boneless wings. This is a good stop to make with friends after a long night out and it's located on University right by Wawa.

Student Discount at Luya Chinese
The Chinese restaurant Luya, located in University Commons off of Alafaya Trail, offers a student discount at dinner time every night that allows UCF students pay lunch prices for full dinner meals. A typical order of an entrée is around $6 and includes your choice of Won Ton soup or an egg roll. This a fulfilling meal for such a good deal.
Lazy Moon Pizza Slices
Lazy Moon is a definite hot spot around campus because of their famous and huge pizza slices. The mammoth slices only cost around $4 and additional toppings can be added for only $0.85/topping. You can also order 20-inch pizzas for $18 and 30-inchers for $25. Lazy Moon is located on University a minute away from campus.
$5.99 Lunch Special at Kyoto
Kyoto, located off University right next to Habanero's offers a chicken hibachi special for $5.99 until 3 p.m. daily. The meal consists of chicken and vegetables with savory sauce and rice and is super filling. This is one of my personal favorite stops for lunch.
