Finals are starting at McNeese, and many people are on edge right now. It's all caused because of stress. I want to help you stay focused and stress free so you can take your finals without breaking a sweat. Here are some easy tips to help you kick that stress away.
1. Mini-relaxation
These can take up to 10 minutes, but here's the one minute version. You put your hand on your stomach and take a deep breath. Then, hold while you count to three. After you have reached three, breath out. You can do this while you are sitting or standing. You could even do this during your final if you need to.
2. Music
Escape with relaxing music. Classical music is considered to be relaxing, but that may not be your cup of tea. Instead, try listening to music you find relaxing.
3. Tea
If you are a tea drinker, drink green tea. It's healthier than coffee because it has lots of antioxidants and amino acid, which has a calming affect on the nervous system.
4. Get Active
Exercising can help reduce the amount of stress you are under. So, get moving and pump up those feel-good endorphins.
5. Talk
Talking to someone about the problems that are causing your stress can make you feel better and relax you.
6. Prep for Your Day in Advance
Nothing is more stressful than being unprepared. Get organized so you're ready for the next day, taking a few minutes to make a to-do list and clean up before you leave. You won't feel stressed about getting work or studying for finals in the evenings because you made a plan for your day.

Eat some fish or take a fish oil replacement vitamin. Boost your mood by adding foods rich in omega-3's—salmon, herring, and sardines top the list—to your holiday feasts. people with the highest blood levels of EPA and DHA omega-3 fatty acids are happier, less impulsive, and generally more agreeable.
