With the semester finally coming to an end in less than two weeks, us college students are all under a ton of stress despite us trying to act like everything's alright and that we're not secretly dying on the inside. The last thing that anyone needs is to let the stress get to them, and with the help of this article, us college students should be able to manage our stress just a tad bit better than before.
Create a playlist of songs that'll motivate you to kick this semester's ass.
Chances are, you already listen to a lot of music to begin with. By creating a playlist that'll motivate you, you might end up feeling as if you can actually finish off this semester strong despite feeling like absolute shit.
Don't stress eat.
Just don't. Even if you have all of the money to spend in the world, just don't do this. You could convince yourself that you're capable of eating all that you want without gaining any weight, but that'll only come to bite you in the ass later on in life. Instead, either save your money for something that you could actually use or want. Even better, you could save it and promise yourself that you won't touch it for awhile.
Instead, try going to the gym and or do some form of exercise.
From past experience, this really does work when it comes to reducing stress during finals week. You'd be letting all of the negative energy and stress be your biggest motivator to work your hardest in the gym, which is better than letting the stress and negative energy slowly eat you away. You'll also feel amazing by the end of each workout. When I've done this during finals week back in the Fall 2015 semester, I've managed to lose 8 pounds in barely 6 days.
Set the deadlines for your assignments to be earlier than they actually are and put reminders in your phone to get it done and to submit it.
One of the best feelings in the world is getting your work done early. Not only will doing this help you avoid last minute stress, but it clears up so much time and space in your schedule, so you could do absolutely nothing and not feel guilty about it. It's better to be on top of your shit than it is to let it stress you out more than it should.
Re-rank your prioritizes and what/who genuinely matters the most to you.
There's no better way to reduce your stress than removing all of the things and people that are only hurting your overall wellbeing. After removing all of these toxins out of your life, you'll feel as if so much weight has lifted off of your shoulders. Don't spend time on things that frustrate you and don't spend time on people that don't care about you.
