It's gotten to the point of the semester when all anyone can talk about is how fast it was over. Everything you said you were going to do and kept putting off because you "still had plenty of time" suddenly seems impossible. Well, have no fear, you still have plenty of time, aka the rest of your life for those. One way to make your life a little less stressful is to accept that. Another way might be to adjust your semester goals to the time you have left. As an attempt to inspire you, here are a few realistic goals for the rest of the semester:
1. Raise half of your grades by one whole letter.
I know it sounds difficult, but between emailing your teachers and deciding now to study harder and earlier, it can be done! If you don't think raising half of all of your grades is realistic, consider just picking one class to work on. It can be your hardest one if you want a little bit of a challenge or your easiest, most favorite class just to prove to yourself that you can do it.
2. Only skip one more time per class.
Let's face it, skipping out on class is the easiest thing ever. You might be nervous for a minute, but as soon as you are sitting in your bed with a bowl of ramen, you have #no #ragrets. Unfortunately, it is proven that just showing up to class can help your grades significantly. Attendance points or not, at least your teacher sees that you made an effort to attend and will feel more inclined to be pleasant when the time comes for begging for bonus points.
3. Only get Yogurtland (or whatever your favorite dessert is) once a week.
I'm not going to tell you that it should be any more or less than that because I don't think I could commit to this goal. I had it last night but just talking about it makes me want to drive down there and get some more. Why is FroYo so good? I need to know because then maybe I could kick the habit of eating it three times a week. Anyways, it would really help my wallet out even just a little and maybe teach me a little something about self-control.
