6 Simple Meals Any College Student Can Whip Up Themselves

At college, it can get pretty boring eating the same microwavable meals. I would love to make some extravagant meals but skills and tight budgets get in my way. Here are a few inexpensive meals you can actually make that are super simple and quick.

I love these things so much! I am not the best dessert maker in the world and have been making these flawlessly since middle school. They make for a great unhealthy quick late night snack when you and your roommate have a major sweet tooth. It also takes no more than 8 minutes.

This was my go to meal last semester when I needed something quick before work or wanted to go ahead and make something for lunch the next day, it is very simple to make and does not take many ingredients, therefore very affordable.

Pasta.

Pasta could be anything from macaroni and cheese, chicken Alfredo, or spaghetti. Whenever I felt like cooking last semester more than half the time it was spaghetti. It might have been because I had an overabundance of spaghetti noodles for some weird reason. Pastas are most of the time very simple to make and can be paired with a nice canned vegetable. You can also look up numerous different recipes to male with past if you are bored with the same average things.

There are so many fun and great things to do with salad. Now a lot of people I know, hate salad, but if you do, you can make so many different ways. You can put all types of your favorite fruits or just make a classic one. It can be healthy for you and a great lunch to get you through the day.

Grilled Cheese.

This is a great kid's meal that can easily be vamped up by adding anything from a variety of cheese, bacon, tomato, or really anything you want.

Dip.

Such a great mid day snack or a late night one for cramming last minute homework or studying. My favorite kind of dip to make is Guacamole Dip. It's so delicious, fairly healthy, and is great with club crackers. Dip is also a fantastic thing you can make for parties or small friend gatherings.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
