Dreams are something that I've always been interested in. There are different aspects to dreaming, such as lucid dreaming, that many people are both scared and fascinated by. I've had a lucid dream before, but the one I had a few nights ago might have been the most enlightening.
Typically, with lucid dreaming, you're in the state of mind where you are fully aware that you are dreaming; furthermore, the fact that you know you are dreaming helps you to, in essence, "control" your dreams. However, this is not the case at times. During this lucid dream, I could not "control" my own dream; however, I never felt anxious or "in any danger". I won't go into too much detail, but this dream was more of an informational lucid dream. Yes, I was fully aware of the fact that I was dreaming and couldn't control it. It might sound crazy, but this experience taught me that when it comes to dreaming, sometimes, you just need to let things happen. I will admit, there were some extremely strange things that transpired throughout this dream; furthermore, I just went through the stages of the dream until it was over and woke up feeling somewhat satisfied.
Moral of the story: dreams can be an amazing experience, but also a truly scary one. The best way to deal with either experience you have: remember that it is ONLY a dream, and never get too entangled in what transpires throughout.
