I have tried and tried over and over again to enjoy football but it just isn't my thing.

The rules have been explained to me more times than I can count and I still just don't feel super psyched to see men in tights run around and tackle one another.

I am the friend though who doesn't like football games but ends up at all of them because all of my friends are there.

So for the other people out there who are like me here are 25 thoughts you may have had if you just don't like football and are at a football game.

1. This is way too much traffic

2. How can people possibly tailgate for 5 hours?

I mean aren't they tired?

3. Why am I here?

4. Oh wait my friends are here and I would have no one to hang out with on a Saturday so I basically had to go

5. Did someone just spill beer on me?

Yes, someone most likely did.

6. OK the burgers at someones tailgate actually smell super good

 7. Great now I’m hungry

8. OK it’s finally starting!

9. I’ll clap my hands and pretend to be as excited as everyone else around me.

10. What am I saying, who do I have to fake for? I’m not kidding anyone.

11. I'm sweating already. Lovely.

Who doesn't love sweat stains all over their shirt?

12. Is it almost half time?

The answer is no.

13. How the heck is it only 8 minutes in? We’ve been sitting here for like 2 hours.

14. Football really knows how to drag 15 minutes out.

15. Maybe some food will help numb my pain?

16. Why are there so many stairs, ugh?

17. Why is this line so long?

18. I shouldn’t have waiting until halftime to eat. Stupid.

19. Wait, this pretzel is amazing!

OK it isn't so amazing after seeing the price.

20. There are only 2 more quarters, you can do this!

21. Nevermind, I want to go home now.

22!Finally my friends want to leave!

23. At least I got to spend time with my friends!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
