Make America Great Again

My thoughts about America’s Direction

It was just a thought, but why do we have to say that the best is yet to come? I mean why don’t we have the best now? It was a question I asked myself whenever I would in a drought and was praying that I would have something to look forward to. Time is always of the essence and therefore I didn’t think that we should waster time.

So then the question should then be… Why are we ignoring the signs that could bring us closer together, and worrying more about the things that tear us apart?

For many years, there have been countless conflicts and casualties, fueled by an individual’s decision on debating topics and arguments. Just to think that one decision or act, can spark a revolution; bringing with it mass killings and inhumane acts of self-defiance. Conflicts within opposing sides can bring capital government to its knees and strangle the system of order, leaving chaos to take over. These decisions, followed by an organized group or tribe can produce war. With war, opposing sides fight over problems raised by anger, hatred, and race. War can come from anywhere, with little or no time to react.

This dear friend is called: War and Politics.

War is fueled by political power, which is determined by wealth and class systems that an individual inherits from birth. Political leaders as well as their decisions, affects the start or the outcome of war, the country’s economy, and the overall progression of a country. However, political leaders and government officials can be overpowered or overthrown by rebels and other forms of small militia, forming a revolution. In other words: War and Politics can play a huge role in shaping history as what it is today.

War is nothing complicated; you’re basically fighting for an idea, freedom, or ambitious conquests. But the events leading to the initial conflict can be extremely complex; considering the spark of the conflict, the initiator, and the influencing factor. There are many aspects as to how war and start, who influences war, and who controls the factors. Most conflicts start over distribution of power and authority to make certain changes, based on an individual’s class system, family upbringing, and respect. With these conflicts, people feel as if the direction that the current leader is taking is wrong, or is harsh and lacking proper judgment. We don’t have to even go to the extent of the presidency of Donald Trump, because he is not the only one that suffers from a lack of poor Judgement.

Jealousy can play a major role also, considering that the highly respected leader grabs the attention from major allies and local communities. Greed and the need for that power can provide pressure to an open wound and agitate the leader, fighting to hold his position. Leaders can also be overthrown if the opposing side feels that his judgment is wrong and affects the community as a whole.

I see this country as a poker game; being the fact that you will always be dealt with cards that will allow you to play, or fold. In terms of the United States, that can be started by a tension or battle between international interests. As a result, we have the problems faced by Isis and the banning of individuals from entering the United States. If you’re watching close, there are various countries including our own that are responsible for mass killings and separation of lives, not just ISIS. People living within the areas are forced to either fight for ISIS or be killed. Living in fear, citizens felt that government was moving in the wrong direction since there was no support, yet feared the consequences of expressing those feelings or fight back. Even with these harsh killings, we still generalize everyone from Iraq and any other Muslim dominated country to be bloodthirsty killers with no intension of mercy or order.

Think about it…

To be honest, these new changes in this world have never shocked me because it was always prevalent within our system of government; and if my conclusion didn’t have an honest one, then I wouldn’t be writing one. War and separation is not a choice, but an option to handle a solution. Certain decisions might accomplish independence, freedom, and more, but every negative decision has a consequence.

The question is now have we suffered these consequences…

But then again, it was just a thought.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
