Society keeps saying that beauty is something that a girl needs. It's the answer to true success and without it, you will never be enough for this world. But honestly, just forget that. What is beauty anyways? It's nothing but six letters strung together to make a word. So, find your own definition of beautiful, whatever that may be.
Be angry or sad.
Be happy and charming.
Be funny and loving.
Be intelligent and witty.
Be adventurous and crazy.
Be talented and complex.
Be klutzy and interesting.
Be yourself.
Beauty isn't what some boy thinks of you. It doesn't come from how many boyfriends you've had or what your classmates think of you. It's not how many likes you get on Instagram or how many compliments you get in a day. Beauty is being comfortable enough in your own skin to be yourself and love every minute of it. It's embracing every curl in your hair and every freckle on your face. Beauty is embracing all your differences and realizing all of the amazing things that you are.
True beauty is found when you can be comfortable in your own skin, doing things that make you happy. Don't listen to what society says beauty is. Because according to society women have to wear curtain clothes and have perfect hair. Our bodies have to be a curtain shape and skin tone. We can't show to much emotion without being called weak and if we don't show enough, were stone cold. We can't be ourselves and show off what really makes us beautiful. So, don't conform yourself to meet societies standards of beauty.
The New York Skyline is picture perfect. Like a piece of art, every building plays the perfect role to making this beautiful masterpiece. The spacing between each building is just right, making it look so well put together, so perfect. What you don't see, are the little imperfections that make the city so great. You don't see what defines the city and makes it the way that it's known to be, diverse, complex and beautiful. You don't see the millions of people walking the streets. You don't see the side street stores selling anything that you could imagine. People don't visit New York just to see the skyline. That's not what makes New York City great. The little imperfection that fill the in between spaces of those buildings are the reason people visit New York. It's a beautiful and complex place and this city's flaws are what makes it such an exciting place. So, don't hide your little imperfection, after all, that's what makes you, you! Your little quirks and small habits mean something. It's what makes you special.
Beauty begins when you decide to start being yourself. Embrace every little part of you, because that's what makes you beautiful. Instead of being pretty enough, let's be pretty kind. Pretty funny. Pretty smart. Pretty strong.
