When many of us think about the word “love” we get a little anxious. I believe it’s because it has been so overused by the people that hurt us that now we are afraid to use it for things that we care about naturally. And that is unacceptable!
Love is beautiful, love is kind and love is pure. I think it should be spread. There are many types of love out there: romantic love, friend love, pet love; the love you have for teachers, food, cute stationary, etc. It should be spread.
In these slightly upsetting and gruesome times, we tend to focus on the negative side of life’s options and consequences, forgetting that life has much to offer. The solution to this is to spread the love. And even though it sounds cliché, there’s no way around it.
Our hearts are big and soft, and that should not be hidden away; it should be embraced. Tell your mom you love her, tell your friends you love them, tell the plants that you got on sale at the market you love them and tell your pets you love them.
Not only is it a great feeling, but the only consequence of telling someone or something that you love them is a positive feeling in your chest, which makes you feel wholesome and pure, and everyone loves the feeling of wholesomeness.
Now, I’m in no way saying you should jump into romantic love right away and “scare off” your partner. There is a big difference between loving and being “in love.” You can love many things and many people, but being in love is special and should not be played around with.
When you love, you should never use it to manipulate or hurt people. Your love should come with the purest intentions to make the world a better place. When you start to love the things around you, your heart begins to blossom and your soul begins to bloom, like spring.
As they say, love is in the air and that is why there is such a lovely vibe all around. But the most important thing is to love yourself. Because when you start loving yourself you begin to realize how much everything around you is filled with positivity. You don’t automatically have to love yourself to feel complete, you can love other people and things. As long as your heart is not filled with bitter anger, you will learn to neutralize and open yourself up to love. And make sure to accept the love others give you, because we are all trying to survive.
