Everyone knows that Donald Trump is the most successful business connoisseur in the world. He knows all the ins and outs of the market today... at least that’s what his campaign wants you to think. Trump's campaign may focus on ridiculous ideas like building a wall on the Mexican border or down right racist comments he spits out but, Donald Trump's 2016 presidential campaign relies heavily on the idea that he is an established and successful business man. Trump is trying to make America great again, but if his presidency is anything like his failed business career, America just might crash and burn. Here are the top five business flops that prove Trump isn't all he's cracked up to be.

5. Gotrump.com

gotrump.com was a luxury travel site that was launched back in 2006 by Trump. The site featured deals on hotels, flights, and even personal tips from Trump himself. The business cost more than it was worth and was soon closed no more than a year later in 2007.

4. Trump Steaks

Trump Steaks was created in 2007. The steaks were extremely unsuccessful and could only be purchased through Sharper Image; a store that sells high-tech lifestyle products. The company never turned a profit, prompting the brand to be quickly discontinued. The ending of Trump Steaks is said to be related to Trump Steakhouse in Las Vegas being closed down in 2012 for 51 health code violations, one of the grossest being the restaurant served five month old duck.

3. Trump Airlines

The next disaster the Trump headed was Trump Airlines. Donald Trump bought the company Eastern Air Shuttle and turned the service into a luxury airline. Trump spent more than $365 million dollars trying to class the airline service up but in doing so caused himself to go into a lot of debut. Never making a profit Trump was forced to shut down the airline, it only ran from 1989-1992.

2. Trump Mortgage

Trump Mortgages lunched in 2006. The train wreck of a company went under no more than a year and a half later. The Washington Post quotes Trump saying "I think it’s a great time to start a mortgage company... the real estate market is going to be very strong for a long time to come." That's why Trump decided that the best time to launch a mortgage company was the same time the housing bubble popped, causing the the great recession.

1. Trump Casinos

The most unsuccessful of Trump's projects was the Trump Casinos. The casinos are located in Atlantic City, New Jersey and being from Atlantic City I got to see this disaster's repercussions in my own backyard. The casinos for many in the area are the main source of employment and when one of them closes hundreds of people lose their jobs. Trump owned three casinos in Atlantic City Trump Taj Mahal Casino, Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino, and Trump Marina Hotel Casino two of the three have gone under. Trump's lack of success also created a domino effect on the remaining casinos in AC; one by one they all started to go bankrupt and close. To briefly go into how unsuccessful and unorganized the Trump Casinos the Trump Taj Mahal has filed eleven times filed for bankruptcy protection, allowing the casino to stay open while reorganizing.

Today we learned Donald Trump isn't the man he pretends to be. He pretends that he is always successful and business savvy, but in reality he has lost billions of dollars from poor planning and bad decisions. The Trump campaign besides feeding people ignorance is also falsely promoting Trump as a successful business man that he is not. If Donald Trump was president not only would he run America into the ground like the businesses above, he'd probably name it after himself too.
