Why I Chose Dominic Toretto Over Prince Charming

Finding a “prince charming” is so overrated.

As cute as Disney maybe, there are men out there who are so much better than charming. I don’t know if you guys are big fans of "The Fast and Furious" series, but I sure am. I have been with my current boyfriend for a little over five years now and he is NOWHERE near Prince Charming. He’s sarcastic, blunt, saucy and a big ole smart ass, but there is no one else I would rather spend my Saturday nights AND Sunday mornings with. He’s my ride or die, which makes us our own little happily ever after.

Here are four easy reasons why I chose Dom Toretto over Prince Charming any day.

He’s not afraid to get his hands dirty.

There is nothing sexier than a man who will start from the bottom doing grunge work and make his way to the top. They value hard work and won't let anything be handed to them. I would take that over being born in wealth/success any day.

Cars are better than horses.

He can start riding away on that white horse, while my man drives up in a 1970 dodge Charger. Mmmmmmm, American Muscle.

I don’t want to be a princess.

You keep that grown, baby girl. Ill take my sarcasm and inability to be elegant and make my own happily ever after with the mechanic who is covered in car grease.

Family code VS. occasional heroism.

Prince Charming values his fair lady. Dom has strong moral code and upholds the highest family values. Everything he does is to protect who he loves which is his family. Plus, ever notice how princes only rescue the princess in times of distress? How about “I don’t want you to save me. I want you to stand beside me and watch while I save myself.”
