Why I'm a Dog Person

Dogs are amazing animals. And come in all shapes and sizes! There’s even service dogs. Some are fluffy, some aren’t. You just can’t help but want to get a dog and have a companion! Yes, I understand that not everyone is a dog person, or they could just be allergic. Some may argue that cats are better. As an owner of both, my love for dogs is strong. Here are some reasons why I think dogs are better

1. They always try to make you smile

That’s all I want in life. They know when you’re upset and they’re there for you.

2. They're the perfect cuddle buddy

You just can’t help it. If a dog wants to lay on your lap, you let them.

3. They literally are your best friend

Unlike cats, dogs will follow you. You are their whole world. Literally. They want to be apart of your everyday life and always keep you smiling.

4. Service Dogs are here to help

They’re trained to help with any type of disability. Diabetes, PTSD, MS, epileptic seizures, sensory issues, and mobility issues are just a few.

5. They're loyal

No matter how much heart break you’ll get from dating, you will always have your dog by your side.

6. They love to play

All they want is their humans to have fun with them!

7. They're protective

They sense danger. They will try and help protect the household.

8. They'll help you look for something

This could be a blessing and a curse. Dogs see better when it’s dark out, so pro. But if your dog is anything like mine, they’ll get in your sight or just lick you. My dog literally does this. It’s cute and funny at first, but I need to find your missing toy!! Or whatever you’re missing.

9. Dogs are generally happier

They want to see you. They want to play. They just love life.

10. Dogs are selfless

They want you happy. Cats, well, they just don’t care.

11. Dogs won't scratch you

I’ve gotten a couple of scratches from my cat. My brother has a scar on his cheek from one of our cats. Dogs, on the other hand, will scratch you if they want your food. And their scratches don’t hurt!

12. Two words... Dog Park

They love to meet other dogs. They love to run around.

Dogs are just amazing. You can't deny it. Dog People, unite!
