Why I Choose To Write.

I have had so many people ask me why I wanted to join the Odyssey Team. A lot of people did not even know I enjoyed to write or even had a substantial blog that I worked on for years. I have been writing for as long as I can remember...from small diaries, notes to people, to hopefully change the way someone looks at something

I don't write to get page views, I write because I have something to say. I write to express myself and for others to maybe understand me a little bit better. I write to inspire and to be heard as a person rather than just a number.

I think writing and as a member of this online community I have the potential to make a mark that stands out over the common Facebook status. I have the option to network with others and to share my thoughts and emotions with people other than just my "friends" list. I want to use that power I have to create good and to create something someone is going to want to read, not just want they want to hear.

I am going to write for people like myself who don't have the loudest voice or strongest personality. I want to write for those who get looked over and want to know they are not on their own. I want to be that "author" who is relatable and doesn't have to pick a side to connect with someone. I'm a real person with real emotions and if you care I'm going to be sharing those with you. Not about what is going on in the world, but about what is going on with the average 21 year old person trying to make a name for them self.

So although I choose not to write about typical things and ideas that are embedded with bias and sides, I am going to write about life. I am hopefully going to share what it is like to go through life with my head held high and not knowing where to go next; but remaining a positive vibe that circulates into something larger and beneficial for people other than myself.

I don't want to be another author that writers to just get likes, shares and page views, I want to be relatable. That's all. Nothing fancy. This is me and these are my thoughts all laid out and for you to understand that there are people just like you.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
