Summer is the best season for birthdays because there are so many festive ways to celebrate!! It's more likely that people are free and its overall a better energy. One of my best friends had turned 16 last year in jean and I'm gonna let you all in on how much effort actually goes in to planning a surprise birthday party.
Step 1: Make a group text with your friends.
You gotta get your whole group in on it with you because it simply cannot be done alone. Its so much easier when everyone is putting their heads together.
Step 2: Decide what you're gonna do.
Are you having a house party? Pool party? Bonfire? (go for whats easiest and most convenient). Also go for what can be good with the weather.
Step 3: Ask for your friends parents approval
You can't throw a party on your own because you probably don't have your own house. Ask your friends parent what they'd prefer you guys to do and if they allow you to have it at their house, you also need to ask about the guest list and snacks.
Step 4: Team work is the dream work.
This is the part where everyone pitches in and decides what they'll do to contribute.
For example; Brings speakers, Brings camera, Brings lights and decorations, Sends out invites, Makes playlist, Cleans up.
Step 5: Pre-Party Dinner.
Make reservations for her and her closest friends at her favorite restaurant. You can get cute little things like a tiara for the birthday girl or a sash, or just something festive.
Surprise! (or not, depending on how well your friends can keep a secret lol)
Make sure your friend has a fantastic time on her birthday because you love her and she deserves it!
Cute fun ideas!
Polaroids: ask a friend to bring a polaroid camera so you can take super artsy pics.
You don't need to spend a lot of money or have a billion people together to have a fun birthday, sometimes having your close friends around a really good birthday cake is more than enough.
