If Disney Princesses Went To College

Because princesses need degrees, too.

If Disney Princesses Went To College

Growing up, we all looked up to our favorite Disney princess. We all wanted to be them, and for pretty much all of us, that never happened. But what if your dream was actually fulfilled and you were a Disney princess just starting her first year of college? It would probably look something like this.

Cinderella

Your typical college freshman, she was the good girl in high school but she broke out of her shell once the clock struck 11 the first night in her residence hall. She’s the girl who can’t handle her alcohol just yet, so don’t be surprised if you walk into the community restroom to find her hugging one of the toilets on a Thursday night.

Belle

She’s the studious freshman. Her major is probably super demanding and really hard. You can always find her in the library or in a private study room in the residence hall. She’s the freshman that will regret not making the most of her freshman year because she was under the impression that her education is a big priority, but she will come to find it’s not the only priority in college.

Sleeping Beauty

She’s the freshman who was beyond excited to schedule her classes according to her sleeping schedule. Her classes probably start at noon so she can spend the whole morning in the comfort of her twin bed. Her nap game is really strong so she’s always well rested, which is not the most common thing for a college student.

Snow White

This is the freshman girl who is friends with all the boys. Not in a bad way: she’s more than likely not sleeping with any of them. She knew she got along with guys a lot better than girls so she chose to live in a co-ed dorm. You can always find her with a flock of guys right by her side.

Pocahontas

Pocahontas is the hippie freshman. She adores everything nature and strives to save the environment. She’s the freshman who would get angry with her roommate for throwing the plastic water bottle in the trash and not recycling it. You would typically find her on the student green protesting some outrageous cause or just soaking up the sunshine and being ‘one’ with nature.

Rapunzel

Rapunzel is the freshman that goes through a dramatic change as soon as she gets to school. She went her whole life with beautiful long blonde hair, but once she gets to college she needs a change. She chopped all of her hair off and dyed it because she wanted to ‘start over.’

Merida

She is the freshman who is doing the exact opposite of what her parents planned for her. Her first weekend at college she even went to the closest tattoo shop and got a tattoo without consulting her parents, just because she could. She has been disobeying her parents for so long that she probably came to college knowing her limits with alcohol. She’d be the best person to be around while drunk because she knows how to handle herself.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
