If The Disney Princesses Came To Vegas

For part one of this look at the Disney princesses' trip to Vegas, we're asking the all important question of WHERE the princesses would stay when they came. Vegas is home to thousands of hotel rooms and has one of the largest collections of exotic resorts and unique casino/hotels in the world. And with so many choices, where oh where would they stay when they visited? From the Venetian to the Golden Nugget, the choices are endless!

For this listing, I'll be using the following princesses: Belle, Cinderella, Aurora, Mulan, Jasmine, Tiana, Ariel, Snow White, Rapunzel, and Pochantas. Hotels are selected based on the princess's home or how I viewed their personality in their stories.

1. Belle (Beauty and the Beast), The Paris

Starting out - let's go with an obvious one. Of course, Belle would select the Paris Hotel and Casino! From the French-inspired decor to the faux Eiffel Tower to the wonderful French cafes and eateries, I'm sure Belle would absolutely adore Vegas's rendition of her home. She would love eating breakfast at Mon Ami Gabi, enjoying their wonderful french toast while viewing the Bellagio fountains or reading a classic novel. She would surely go to the top of the Eiffel Tower to get a bird's-eye view of the buildings of the strip, and the closeness of the casino to other attractions. She would love the cobblestone streets and little shops inside the Paris as it would likely remind her of home.

2. Cinderella (Cinderella), Ceasars Palace

Spectacular, iconic like she is, very classic, and grand, Cinderella would love the Ceasars. The grandness would likely enthrall her. From the grand shows to the exquisite (and high price) shopping, she would love the royal treatment that Ceasars would give her.

3. Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), Excalibur

She'd enjoy the more old-fashioned, castle, German-themed casino. The castle feeling, the quieter areas, and the good food would easily make her feel at home. She, of course, would be the first to attend the Knights show with Prince Philip as the jousting and horses would likely remind her of her entertainment back in Medieval Europe.

4. Mulan (Mulan), The Cosmo

Modern and edgy, she'd like the more modern, cultured fusion of the newer casinos. She'd love the unique eateries and the closeness to the more modern attractions such as the Linq. Many of the new casinos in that area also have some Asian undertones, which I'm sure she'd greatly enjoy. She's a modern woman and she'd want a more modern experience.

5. Jasmine (Aladdin), Bellagio

She'd love the fountains, the gardens, and the exotic animals housed in this hotel. The gorgeous, classic facade would be beautiful to her. I'm sure she'd spend as much time as possible in the conservatory, or roaming the animal shows, or enjoying the art gallery.

6. Tiana (The Princess and the Frog), The Orleans

Obviously, I mean come on. From the variety of shows, to the buffet, to the colorful facade, she'd feel right at home. She would like that it's a bit off the beaten track, and many of the visitors are locals. She'd enjoy visting with the working class of Las Vegas, as she'd likely relate to their lives here. Also, all the gators with trumpets would remind her of Louie.

7. Ariel (The Little Mermaid), Mandalay Bay

Ariel would love the Shark Reef and all the amazing marine life there. Since Mandalay Bay has tons of concerts, I'm sure she'd love attending all the music performances as she always loved singing in the film. With fine dining and an amazing pool, she'd feel right at home with all the water and the grandeur.

8. Snow White (Snow White), The Golden Nugget

Since Snow White was the FIRST Disney Princess, why would she not stay at the FIRST major hotel of Las Vegas? She stayed with 7 men - I think she could handle the wildness of downtown. And just like what the dwarves mined, The Gold Nugget is centered around mining, gold, and old-fashioned styling. From classic food to historic attractions, she'd enjoy her stay.

9. Rapunzel (Tangled), New York New York

She'd love being right in the middle of all the action, just like this casino is. It has so many attractions and wild rides- I'm sure she'd ride the coaster at least 10 times, at least. She'd love the adventure and all that the Strip has in store for her.

10. Pochatas (Pochantas), AirBnB

Let's be real, Pochantas wouldn't want the usual Las Vegas experience. She'd be more than happy to LOOK at the expensive rooms, but pay? No thanks. She'd want to live like a local and stay in a home with someone else. Her and John would likely love to visit as many places as possible, but head on back to eat dinner with the local people. She'd feel that missing the local vibe of Vegas is worse than forgetting to go to the spa one day.

And there you have it! BIG shout out to my amazing cousin, Alyssa, who came up with a LOT of the ideas for this article. Thanks for reading! Next week will be a Valentine's themed article (no "other" necessary) but then I'll likely do another one of these "Princesses in Vegas." Until next time!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
