We all have our favorite Disney leading ladies. Every one of the Disney princesses has her own strengths and weaknesses, but ultimately, in the Disney universe, they are considered perfect role models and are placed at the top of the character hierarchy. But what would happen if they were each in their own horror movie? Without the safety of the family-friendly Disney world, who would survive and who would be brutally murdered? Find out here and pray that your favorite princess has what it takes to survive her very own horror flick.

1. Snow White

Dear Snow would most likely be down for the count within the first twenty minutes of any horror film. Let’s face it—her sweet disposition and trusting nature easily translates into gullibility in difficult situations. I mean, it took around five seconds for her stepmother to trick her into eating that poison apple! Not to mention how willing she is to stay in a home with a bunch of strange men she just met. In a horror movie, the dwarves would be axe murderers and Snow White would get stabbed. As much as we love Snow White for her kindness and femininity, she’s not a survivor.

2. Cinderella

Unfortunately, Cinderella has that classic damsel-in-distress vibe that monsters love to target. And while she does have an adorable army of mice and birds by her side, they would probably not be as useful in escaping a demon from hell as they are in creating ball gowns from scratch. She’s a goner.

3. Belle

I think Belle has what it takes to make it to the end credits. She’s very smart and resourceful, and in her movie, it’s clear that she has the capability of overcoming fear. She was able to literally fall in love with a beast, so it’s reasonable to assume she could deal with a few pesky vampires in her own horror flick. After all, with all the books she’s read, she probably has a ton of background knowledge on how to handle all kinds of creepy creatures.

4. Ariel

As much as I’d love to say that Ariel could hang in a horror flick, she would probably be dead by the halfway point of a movie. Although this little mermaid certainly has spunk and big dreams, she isn’t capable of saving herself in dire circumstances. While she does have enough bravery to seek help from the evil sea witch, in the end, she relies on the men in her life—her dad and her boyfriend(?)—to get her out of trouble. If left on her own, she isn’t likely to survive even the most mild haunted house movie.

5. Pocahontas

Our favorite American heroine would kick butt in her own horror film. She has a wide range of knowledge about nature and would know where to go in order to escape a hoard of angry zombies. She is incredibly brave as well—she stops an entire war on her own with her determined spirit! She is an independent and strong lady who would survive until the very end.

6. Aurora

While Sleeping Beauty has fantastic hair and great dance moves, she probably would be the first to go in any classic horror flick. She spends most of her own movie asleep, and that definitely equals gruesome murder in the horror genre. Unless Prince Phillip is around to save her on his white horse, she’s not going to make it through the movie.

7. Jasmine

Okay, Jasmine is easily well-liked for her fiery spirit and confidence, but she has more than sass on her side. She's also incredibly resourceful and sneaky in her own awesome way. In her movie, she tricks Jafar in to thinking she’s in love with him to distract him, giving Aladdin time to sneak up from behind and attack. With this kind of battle strategy, she could certainly take care of any crazy murderers coming her way. Not to mention she has a pet tiger.

8. Tiana

Tiana would most likely make it in a horror movie too. In her own film, she survives being transformed into a frog and manages to take down an evil sorcerer, all while dealing with the least helpful Disney prince ever imagined. Her determined attitude and willingness to see things through until the end are the perfect traits for a tough, horror flick heroine.

9. Rapunzel

Unfortunately, this long-haired beauty probably doesn’t have what it takes to overcome all the crazy, scary things that happen in horror films. Her natural, wide-eyed curiosity is a deadly trait when translated to a scary movie and even her most epic lasso-hair tricks couldn’t get her out of the sticky situations she’d get herself into. You know the girl in every movie who you always beg, “DON’T GO IN THE CLOSET!” but they still do anyway? Yeah, Rapunzel is that girl.

10. Mulan

Of course this warrior princess would survive a horror movie! Not only is she the only Disney princess who is trained in combat (she trained with an army of dudes and kicked their asses), she is also incredibly brave and is excellent at coming up with genius plans to take down her enemies. She took down the leader of the Huns with a paper fan! With her trusty sword and killer strategy, she’s definitely making it until the very end. A girl who saves all of China can definitely handle a few spooky ghosts, no problem.

11. Merida

Our favorite Scottish archer would also be able to handle anything scary that came her way. Her bow and arrow skills are incomparable, and she is one of the bravest Disney heroines hands down. I mean, her movie is even called Brave! If that’s not a recipe for success, then I don’t know what is.

12. Anna

We all loved Anna in Frozen—she’s adorable and quirky in a way that warms the hearts of every audience. But sadly for her, she’s not going to survive her own horror movie. Even though she is brave enough to go after her sister in a winter storm, it ends up being Kristoff who gets her out of trouble in the barren wasteland when she isn’t able to get to Elsa by herself. She is also way too trusting to make it on her own. She tried to marry a guy she barely knew after three hours at a party, and sure enough, that guy almost ended up killing her! Someone as naïve as her isn’t cut out for the horror genre.

13. Elsa

This snow queen probably wouldn’t have much trouble handling herself in a horror flick. In her movie, she demonstrates just how powerful she really is when she creates an eternal winter in her kingdom. While you could argue that Elsa could have problems in a horror movie with fear, which causes her to lose control of her powers, I'd still say she has what it takes to make it. By the end of her movie, she learns to control her powers and saves the day, so I think she'd do just fine in her own horror film too. With all her awesome powers, she’d totally kick butt against any monster imaginable. Team Elsa for the win!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
