2016 was the 10-year anniversary of "High School Musical" airing on the Disney Channel for the first time. This past week, it was announced that the series' fourth film is in the works with a brand new cast. Following the announcement, I found myself reminiscing about Disney Channel Original Movies (DCOM) and DCOM series that I loved growing up. So here are some of my other favorites (in no specific order).
1. "Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century"
We all wanted to live in the future, in a space station, and listen to Proto Zoa after watching the "Zenon" movies. You probably often found yourself using her famous catchphrases when talking to your friends, too.
2. "The Thirteenth Year"
You remember, it was the one about the kid who turns into a mermaid on his 13th birthday. Completely normal.
3. "The Luck of the Irish"
Another movie about the main character turning into a fictional character. This time, he turns into a leprechaun after his hair turns orange and his ears become pointy.
4. "Get a Clue"
Lindsay Lohan and Brenda Song turned us all into well-dressed detectives after watching them investigate the mystery behind their missing teacher.5. "Gotta Kick It Up!"
An inspirational true story about a middle school dance team. These girls taught us that we could do whatever we put our minds to.
6. "The Even Stevens Movie"
The hilarious TV show released its own DCOM and we loved every second of it, especially when Louis and Ren were chased by the robot lawn chair.
7. "The Cheetah Girls"
I don't know about you, but I wanted to wear matching sweatsuits and headbands with my friends and sing in the streets of New York City after watching "The Cheetah Girls" for the first time. Don't lie, you know the words.

8. "Camp Rock"
We lived for Demi and Joe's scenes in the films, so their mini-reunion singing "This is Me" on her tour in 2014 was everything.
9. "Halloweentown"
Another film that made us wish we had magical powers and reminded us that it's OK to be different.
10. "Cow Belles"
Aly and AJ made getting up at the crack of dawn to work at a dairy farm seem interesting, and even kind of fun.
11. "Stuck in the Suburbs"
This film focused on what would happen if you accidentally switched your cell phone with your favorite pop star's, who just so happened to be in your town. It was also a pretty accurate representation of what all of our middle school lockers looked like.
