The Definitive Ranking Of The Official Disney Princesses
Disney

Let me just preface this by saying that I love every Disney Princess with all of my heart. They are beautiful, elegant, and every one of them has the voice of a thousand singing angels. I love them so much I wish I was one. However, in every group of princesses there is a clear hierarchy and I think it's time we recognize which princess is actually the Fairest of them All.

11. Aurora from "Sleeping Beauty"

Yes, she's beautiful and "Once Upon A Dream" is one of the most romantic Disney songs ever, but Princess Aurora is pretty boring. I mean, I get that the film is called "Sleeping Beauty" for a reason, but homegirl only has 18 lines in the entire movie.

10. Tiana from "The Princess and the Frog"

Yeah it's super cool that Tiana owns a business and has some aspirations outside of being a princess, but to be completely honest, I forget Tiana exists most of the time. I mean, can she really count as an official princess if she spends 80% of the movie as a frog?

9. Snow White from "Snow White"

Props to Snow White for being the first Disney Princess ever and the Fairest of them All (I wish I could have that title,) but moving into a house with seven strange men and then eating accepting a snack from a creepy old woman is just plain irresponsible. You're a princess, Snow, get it together.

8. Cinderella from "Cinderella"

I think if Disney Princesses were real people, Cinderella would be the Regina George of the group. She's flawless and she knows it. How else would she get adorable animals to wait on her hand and foot?

7. Merida from "Brave"

First things first, girlfriend has some killer hair. I totally dig the "I'm a strong independent woman and I don't need a man" mentality that Merida rocks, but despite her ability to take the world into her own hands, she's kind of immature. She does turn her mom into a bear after all.

6. Rapunzel from "Tangled"

Let the record show, "When Will My Life Begin" is one of my all-time favorite Disney songs. I love Rapunzel's spunky attitude and I totally relate to her desire to break free from her life and see what else is out there. I wish I could rank her higher on the list, but in a group of ladies this amazing you have to do more than escape from a tower to earn a top five spot.

5. Mulan from "Mulan"

Mulan totally defies traditional gender roles and I am totally here for it. She sacrifices herself so her ailing father doesn't have to go to war and then pretty much single handedly saves her country from the Huns. Not to mention she has the mind blowing ability to give herself the perfect long bob with a sword.

4. Jasmine from "Aladdin"

Forget being a princess, Jasmine should be crowned the Queen of Sass. She knows exactly what she is worth and refuses to let her father marry her off to any random and unworthy loser. Plus that girl can rock a crop top.

3. Pocahontas from "Pocahontas"

Okay, okay, from an historical standpoint Pocahontas doesn't have the most accurate storyline, but that doesn't make her any less magical. How many princess do you know that can talk to trees and paint with all the colors of the wind? None, I'm guessing.

2. Ariel from "The Little Mermaid"

Maybe signing your voice over to an evil sea witch isn't the most mature decision in the world, but there's something to be said about a woman who is willing to make a great sacrifice for love. Despite her flaws, Ariel has a collection of knick knacks worthy of their own antique shop and any girl whose hair looks that flawless in all ecosystems deserves to be ranked #2 on this list.

1. Belle from "Beauty and the Beast"

She craves adventure and a life beyond the mundane town her peers are so content with. Belle is driven, intelligent and refuses to fall for the hunky yet shallow piece of meat that every other girl is goo-goo-ga-ga over. Of all the Disney princesses, Belle is the one I would want swap lives with (post angry mob invading the castle, of course.)

Labeling these magical princesses as better or worse than each other was a lot harder than I thought, but someone had to do it (or maybe not.) Disagree with my list? Leave a comment and tell me what you would change.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
