Debates, Democrats, And All That Fun Stuff Everyone Is Mad About

Let's all slow clap for politics, shall we?

It seems like anything and everything is politics these days (or hurricanes). The debate schedule is in full swing, and after watching the Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates battle it out on national stage, I'm disappointed, disgusted, and losing hope.

Okay, I was always disappointed. I know who I'm voting for, but I also know that both options suck. Our country is probably destined for disaster, and with a loudmouth and liar up for the election, will America really ever be great again? Meh, doubt it. Sorry Trump, but I don't think you can do it. And Hillary, I really wouldn't care if you were deported to some remote snowbank in Anartica.

Anways...moving on from that.

During the first debate between Trump and Hillary, I noticed something pretty sketchy but also not surprising at all. First, let me start out by saying that the moderator was biased. Clearly. They accused Trump of fault after fault, without even addressing Hillary's past and current scandals. It was sickening to watch, and I spent most of the hour and a half yelling at the TV or putting an ugly snapchat filter on Hillary's face. But back to the important stuff. A main accusation towards Trump was his refusal to release his tax return information. For a man who has created millions of dollars, shouldn't he at least make his tax record public? I would say he should, and the fact that he won't most likely means he is hiding something.

That is besides the point I am trying to make though. Did anyone hear the moderator ask Hillary about her emails? How about Benghazi? How about the Clinton Foundation and the rumors associated with that? I sure didn't. Although I believe that Donald Trump is far from truthful in all that he says, I am 100% confident that Hillary is a fraud, and the fact that the Lester Holt failed to bring her rumors up is absolutely gross.

I think it's pretty obvious at this point: the debates are hosted by Democrats. You're stupid (I'm sorry, but not really) if you don't see it. The Vice Presidential Debate was moderated by Elaine Quijano, and she succeeded in ticking me off. The hard questions were given to Pence, and Kaine was allowed to interrupt rudely whenever he felt like. He felt like it every 5 seconds, too, so that was annoying.

So here's my request for the next debate, and it's really quite simple: CAN WE HAVE A FREAKING NEUTRAL MODERATOR?!?! Gahh, I have such a love/hate relationship with politics. But for real, I would love to see both Trump and Hillary put on the stand for allegations made against them. These so-called "elections," are two-way streets, and I'm pissed that Trump is getting slammed for everything. *Let me clarify, this doesn't mean I think he is the perfect or ideal candidate; in fact, he is far from it*

Alright, I'm done ranting. September 9th is battle round 2. CNN's Anderson Cooper and ABC News' Martha Raddatz are moderating. Dear God, I hope they're unbiased. I'm expecting Trump to be free with his words and Hillary completely silent about her atrocious lies.

Should be a fun one, folks.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
