Dear Mr. Trump,

You Are Not My President Yet

Dear Mr. Trump,
AccessWDUN

Dear Donald Trump,

I do not agree with you, as an American citizen. Your viewpoints, your hateful attitude and how you present yourself as a person. I do not agree with anything you stand for and having you become my President, my Commander in Chief, makes me worry for the future of my United States. You have many standings on situations surrounding the United States. Women being at least half of the population are treated with no respect from you or your administration. From the beginning of the USA women have never been seen as equal. It took till the 1920s for women to even be allowed to vote and be able to share their opinion of who should run our country. Some of your voters who stand wholeheartedly behind you are those women you disrespect. With your constant interviews where you state that it is okay for you to sexually assault women because you are famous. You have been caught on camera and have had many lawsuits against you where you have belittled your women coworkers and those around you. And what is worse is that you have that same mentality about your own daughter.

Not only have you disrespected the women of this United States but you have promised to take away one of our resources, Planned Parenthood. As a woman I believe I have the right to choose what happens to my body. By defunding the places that help me gain access to birth control, to check ups, to STD checks as well as abortions is unacceptable. You do not have to agree with my choices however you are not in my personal life or know my personal situation but you feel as if you can make those choices for me. Donald Trump, if you make it illegal to have an abortion then you should make it illegal to have the fathers of the children leave. Mr. Trump it takes two to make a child and it is unfair to those who you have forced into motherhood to do it alone.

As you are our new Commander and Chief and will take office I am fearful for my loved ones who are currently serving in your military as well as the rest of the population that laid down their freedom so that we can have ours. I do not believe that you, Donald Trump, respect those men and women who are willing to fight and die for our country. Not only do I believe you have no respect but you do not hide this fact. By deferring your requests to join as well as taking a Purple Heart from a veteran. Not only did you take this extreme level of honor given to him but you took it lightly. This man, who has put so much faith in you has given you an award that he has earned for his selflessness and his bravery. You see Mr. Trump you do not get awarded a Purple Heart lightly, you must be wounded by an enemy in war. There are many of those who are awarded a purple heart and do not get to claim it themselves, but it is passed to their next of kin. However, you have claimed how you have always wanted a Purple Heart and this was an easier way to get. By taking this selfless act done by a true American because you could not be bothered to join in the battle.

The LGBTQ is a community that has fought so hard to gain the rights and the privileges that the rest of the American population was born with. It took until 2015 to be able to marry as a gay or lesbian couple while the rest of the American population can marry as soon as they hit eighteen if they please. Donald Trump, your Vice President has openly fought against this community and against their rights. This is not only affecting the bonds that people created but as well as funding for the necessary hormones that some people need to feel whole in their lives. By taking the government funding for these drugs that help people become who they truly are you are taking their lives. By allowing your Vice President to state that he believes that gays and lesibians can be turned straight by counseling and therapy is an insult to those who are worked so hard to open up to themselves and to the world.

Obama being a man who you also do not agree with you have promised to destroy many policies that were set up in the Obama administration. The nuclear deal between Iran and the United States was one of the top on your list of many. Taking away this nuclear deal that was set up by Obama which kept Iran at bay from becoming a nuclear state. By taking this away you no longer are keeping Iran from becoming a known nuclear state or using the weapons of mass destruction. As president you have promised to start with Obama care, which gave millions of citizens healthcare, when they could not afford it or their job did not offer it. Just alone doing this will cause many Americans to no longer have health care, and without health care people will avoid getting the medical treatment they might be desperate for. Just taking these two policies away you can send the world into a nuclear playground as well as allowing millions of poor Americans to die from improper care.

No matter if you have accepted the backing of the KKK the fact of the matter is that a known racist and hateful group feels comfortable enough to back you. A person who they believe has the same values as them. This alone scares me, I personally do not wish my president to have a connection with a racist group known from the time of slavery killing and destroying the property and the lives of those they do not agree with and those who are different from them. Half of the country does not support you and it is terrifying to think that in my line of work I might have to censor my feelings towards you in the future for fear that because I openly do not support you, your followers could attack.

Mr. Trump you are my worst nightmare and by you winning my first election that I was able to vote for you have shown me the racism and the hatred and the sexism that those around me assure does not live within the United States of America. As of right now you are not my President. You, like anyone else will need to earn the respect that goes along with your postion of power. Many before you have failed, and I write this letter to tell you that Mr. Trump you need to do better, a lot better than what you have shown during your campaign. Do what you have promised to your supporters and make America great again.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
