Dear Mom,
First off, let me say thank you. Thank you for being the best mom I could have ever gotten. Thank you for showing me how to love, and for building a solid foundation for our family. Thank you for encouraging me to always be myself, and never to let anyone change that. Thank you for loving me unconditionally, even though I was a brat sometimes. I was definitely blessed to get you as my Mom.
Growing up with you was fun. We would dance around the kitchen and listen to the top 100 on the oldies radio station. You would braid my hair, support my beanie baby collection, and you would always let me help you make dinner. We would watch scary movies, and never missed and episode of "Pretty Little Liars." There was never a dull moment with you around, and I am thankful for that.
You have always supported me in every way. Whether it was at one of my games, concerts, or even when I decided to dye my hair blue. I knew I would always have you in my corner. Not only did you support me, you supported Bubba and Dad. We have not had it easy, but you always managed to make us feel as if everything was okay. When the times got tough, you always had a smile on your face. You were the families backbone when Dad could not be. You are such a strong woman, and everyone can see that.
Mom, you are the reason why I am so fearless, kind, and compassionate about life. You live life in a way that I can only hope to do. You stick up for others when they need it, make people laugh when they are down, and you always lend a helping hand no matter what the situation is. You never cease to amaze me.
What I am trying to tell you Mom, is that you are an inspiration. Not only to me, but so many others. Your family, friends, and co-workers can all see it, and I hope you do too.
As I have gotten older I have realized that you are not just my mom, you are my best friend. I can see myself becoming more like you every day. Most people would cringe when saying that, but I embrace it. Who would not want to follow in the footsteps of such an amazing woman?
I hope that one day when I have a family of my own, that I can be a super mom like you are. You have managed to raise two kids who have been successful in life so far, all while dealing with so many other things. We would not have accomplished so much if it was not for your love and support.
I know that I do not get to see you as often as you would like, but I just want you to know this one thing.
Mom, I will always be your brown eyed girl.
Love,
Your Daughter
