Promise me that our future will be beautiful. That we will be the couple that everyone is jealous of every time they see us. I know that we will have our ups and downs, but promise me that we will work it out. Promise me that we will never go to bed angry or upset. Promise me that when we fight, that we will never fight in front of our family, friends or in public. Promise me that we will grow old together and sit on the porch in our rocking chairs.
Ask my parents for their permission to marry me, and make the proposal meaningful. Promise me that we will have date nights and that we will never let our love fade. Promise me that we will play videogames together and watch shows that the other has never seen before. Promise me that we will surprise each other even when there's no special occasion.
I promise to watch sports with you even though I don't understand what's going on most of the time. I promise that I will bake and (attempt to) cook for you. I promise not to cling to you; I know you need your guy time. I promise to push you to achieve your dreams and succeed in life. I promise not to fight over little things and to communicate when things are both good and bad. I promise to talk to you about our problems instead telling others or posting on social media.
Understand that I love to cuddle, but I would pick sleep over it any day. I want you to know that I love a clean house, and hope you will keep that in mind when you throw your clothes on the floor. I hope you understand that I love it when you tell me that you love me, but I hate long lovey-dovey messages. I hope that you'll forgive me when I ask if we can get a kitten, and I mean that I already brought one home. I hope you can cope with my desire to bring every animal home. Please understand that I cry over the smallest things, so when I cry when I find something neat, understand that I'm not upset. Know that I hate the outdoors and any extreme weather conditions, but I'll try to put up with it for you. I hope you can put up with my desire to go overboard during the holidays.
By the time that we are married, I hope to know everything about you. I want to know everything about you such as your favorite color, snack, candy bar and movie. I want to know all about your family, where you're from and what you were like in your high school days. I want to know about everyone in your family, whether they live across the world or in the same town. I want to meet everyone in your family, even though strangers scare me.
I want you to know that I'm excited to meet you. I can't wait for the day that we start dating, go on adventures, get engaged and then married. I can't wait for the day that we buy our first house, have children together, and watch our lives progress together. I can't wait till the day our lives together begin.
