Dear Donald Trump

There is no way that you can make America great again.

Dear Donald Trump
Business Insider

Dear Donald Trump,

When I first heard that you were running for president, I laughed. I thought that you were running to add some humor to the presidential race. I mean, how do you expect to make America great again if you cannot even make your hair great? Unfortunately, America did not find you as silly as I did, and I am honestly scared that you might be our next president.

First off, why are you so misogynistic? Do you believe that it is a good idea to act that way in this day and age? I know that I made the joke about you not being able to control America because you cannot control your hair. But I promise that I was just making fun of your ugly hair. The Monica Lewinsky scandal has nothing to do with Hillary Clinton's ability to run a country. You also believe that sexual assault in the military is expected, women must attractive to be decent journalists, that all women are gold diggers, among countless other offensive remarks. To be quite frank, your perceptions about women are offensive and incorrect. I hope, for the sake of women worldwide, that you do not become our next president.

Secondly, why are you so prejudiced? Do you believe that it is a good idea to act that way in this day and age? When one of your supporters attacked an African-American man chanting, "Black lives matter," you said that "It was absolutely disgusting what he was doing." He being the man who was chanting, "Black lives matter." Not the man who physically attacked an innocent person. Do you not see how backwards that is? You want all Muslims to be registered. That sounds an awful lot like Nazi Germany to me. You want American's to fear Muslims, but I do not think that you understand how horrible of an idea that is. Targeting a religious group of people goes against the tenets of religious freedom that our country was founded on. What about the separation of church and state? The way that you target groups of people is completely unacceptable and disgusting behavior. I hope, for the sake of minority groups, that you do not become our next president.

Finally, why do you not recognize global warming? I know that sometimes it is easier to just deny depressing things. However, global warming is not something that you can pretend is not happening. Both NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration have confirmed that global warming is real. Wake up and feel the heat. Global warming is happening. If you became president, it would be your job to come up with solutions to help fix this terrible problem. You are also against the Environmental Protection Agency, claiming that it is a "disgrace." Why would you think that an agency set up to save the planet that you live on is disgraceful? That completely baffles me. I hope, for the sake of the earth, that you do not become our next president.

Please drop out of the president race. You are only hurting the American people, which is the opposite of what a president do. Please tell me that your campaign has just been a joke. Please do not become our next president.

Sincerely,

A Concerned American Citizen

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
