Dear Best Friend,
First and foremost I love you and you mean the world to me. You are a spectacular human being who is constantly putting the needs and wants of others directly before your own, yet you never complain. You never feel burdened from helping others, but instead are always finding new ways to do more for them. For this and many other reasons is why you are such an incredible person, and why I consider myself so lucky to be able to call you my best friend.
Recently you have been combatting your own demons, and some of those struggles I will never understand. However you are doing this with such grace and dignity, never letting the ugliness of the negativity attacking you take advantage of your good nature. Right now it feels as if you have no control over the things around you, and no matter how hard you’re trying it never feels good enough. But there is something I want you to know.
In the short time I have lived, I have never met another young person with as much tenacity, heart, strength, compassion, and generosity as you have. At an even younger age you took on such a large load of responsibilities in your life and never objected to any of them. No matter the obstacle, you never let it control you. Because of this I hope that you can recognize how amazing that is. I pray that you can see yourself in the same light that I do, and how admirable of a woman you are.
I know things are extremely hard right now and the world feels as if it is collapsing its heftiness onto your shoulders. You may be questioning yourself, wondering if you are doing the right thing, but I promise that you are. For the right choices are hardly ever the easy ones. Things will get better, and I am sorry that it can’t be sooner or cannot help you throughout the process. But I can guarantee that I will be there for you every step of the way.
What I want you to know is that no matter what I will be there for you. When it seems as if nothing is going according to the “plan”, breathe and remember that you have such a solid support team ready to back you up. Utilize your strength, refusing to let those toxic people control any aspect of you. Embrace your relentless determination, continuing to put in more than 110%. Lastly and most importantly, never forget that you are unconditionally loved. No matter what life serves you next, myself and many others will always love and support you.
Adversity has taken advantage of many, but not you. You’re a unique person who refuses to allow anything or anybody to run you over. Always I will be thankful that I have been blessed to get to know you. I am so proud to call you my best friend, and know that you will come out from this hardship even stronger than before.
