If you were part of the Conemaugh Valley Marching Blue Jays, you surely had an awesome time with even cooler people. You experienced amazing trips and made lifelong memories. And there are definately some things that only Conemaugh Valley Marching Blue Jays know. From routines to inside jokes, you have learned and experienced some things you will never forget. Here are 25 things you know if you have ever been a Marching Blue Jay.

1. Every cheer, routine, and dance that the cheerleaders do, because you always sit in front of them at games

2. To go around turns like you are walking through a door...and you better do it right

3. That the football team has your back

4. To take your own equipment on the bus (thanks Mikayla for that lesson)

5. That real heroes play the tuba

6. How to keep track of a red plastic cup at band camp...because you only get one

7. That you ALWAYS let the drummers go first

8. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,LINE

9. That you CAN do the cupid shuffle with a drum on

10. That the whole school gets excited when you play through the hallways

11. To yell "YEAH RIGHT" when Mr. B yells "JAYS"

12. That you will stop at Cracker Barrel at some point on the band trip

13. Band moms are the best moms

14. How to fit four layers under any given uniform

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
