Current College Football Final Four

Who's In?

Current College Football Final Four
University of Phoenix Stadium

As week 7 has come and gone, some major shakeups have occurred. Utah got hammered by, Ohio St. looks better than ever with a quarterback switch and Florida State lost a shocker with a blocked kick returned for a touchdown as time expired. Nov. 2nd The College Football Playoff Committee will release their first poll, that is only a week away. Now, with all of the mass hysteria of how should be in and out of the final four slots and advance to the playoffs, it's time to throw my hat into the race, as well. I watch college football like a hawk and know what to look for such as, total points, offensives and defensive production numbers, strength of schedule and also game control, which means did you win on a last second field goal or did you own your opponents all game long.

I have been keeping up with who I would have in the final four since the preseason, however, I won't bother you with who went where and why from 2 months ago till now so I will just give you last weeks final four as a reference.

Last Week:

1. Clemson

2. Baylor

3. LSU

4. Utah

First 2 Out:

5. Ohio St.

6 Michigan St.

So, as you can see, there will have to be changes made since Utah lost and Ohio St. dominated. So, without further ado, here are my final four entering week 8.

1. Clemson

I have really been impressed with what Clemson has done this year. They look poised and mature in just about everything they do. Deshaun Watson is a versatile quarterback, he has great down field vision and has explosive legs they make him the 2nd leading rusher on the team (332 yrds 5.2 avg) behind running back Wayne Gallman (702 yrds 5.5 avg. Also, leading receiver Artravis Scott has shown great hands in his new role of go to reciever for the Tigers. Their defense is stout as well, and right now I wouldn't want to bet on anybody else right now, they look tough to beat. If they can beat a Florida St. team they took one on the chin Saturday, Clemson has their own destiny in their hands.

2. LSU

The Bayou Bengals have it going on right now. They looked to find a Quarterback who could manage a game and not have to be a big game talented guy. Brandon Harris has grown into that quarterback. He can make throws downfield when he has to, but his main job is to feed number 7 the ball all night long. Leonard Fournette is the best NFL talent in college football right now. He can cut up the field with aggression and also has the speed to out run anybody on the field. LSU defense is always a feared one, their front seven is among the best in the country. If they can get out of that daunting SEC West, they will have everyone attention.

3. Ohio St.

They defending champs are back in it after a great showing with JT Barrett at Quarterback. Cardale Jones just didn't have the it factor for me. I felt it was JT Barrett's to loose, and Urban ever had a reason, besides the nagging foot injury suffer last year to Barrett, to give the reigns over to Jones. However, after a poor start to the year, the Buckeyes look like a team to be reckoned with coming out of the Big 10.

4. Baylor

The Bears from Texas didn't lose their game Saturday so why did they drop? Yes, they did not lose their game, but they possibly lost something more important their quarterback. Seth Russell left the game Saturday with what has now been confirmed a broken bone in his neck. he will see a specialist this week and his timetable for return is currently unknown. However with a intimidating defense and flashy receivers and running backs you feel whoever is under center Head Coach Art Briles will have ready for as long as Russell is Absent.

First two out.

5. Michigan St.

You feel like they are in control of every game (besides the Michigan game) and are on the cusp of cracking the top four. We will see in a few weeks if they can when they meet Ohio St. in Columbus, OH.

6. TCU

Trevone Boykin has been torching defenses, through the air, all year however TCU's defense hasn't look great at times, though. However, Gary Patterson, who is a defensive minded coach, will have those boys primed and ready for a showdown at the end of the year with Baylor.

So, on New Years Eve as of right now. Clemson would be playing Baylor in the Orange Bowl and Ohio St. and LSU would be getting tangled up in the Cotton Bowl.

There is still plenty of time left in the season for slip ups, and the 4 and 5 slots play teams in the final four later in the year. It will not be an easy task for any of the teams on the board right now, but that's why those boys put in the blood, sweat, and tears for many hours so, they can prove to the entire country that they are truely the best.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
