10 Reasons Kelsea Ballerini Slays The Country Music Game

Kelsea Ballerini has been taking the world by storm with hit after hit, her first headlining tour and making headlines with her recent engagement to Australian country singer Morgan Evans. She’s slaying at her game and country music is lucky to have her. Many call her the next Taylor Swift, while others call her the new princess in country music. She certainly has the ability to be both but for now, she’s taking over country music. Here are several reasons why Kelsea slays in the country music world and why you should love her and her music.

1. She Loves Her Fans and She Means It

It’s not often you see an artist interact with her fans the way Kelsea does. She’s always going out of her way to snap a photo, go out into the crowd during a performance, get to know her fans during meet and greets and replying to tweets on Twitter. Kelsea will always go the extra mile to let her fans know she loves them, and her fans will do whatever it takes to let her know that the feeling is indeed mutual.

2. She has three No.1 hits from her debut album

It’s not often where a new artist can say they’ve already had three No.1 hits (“Love Me Like You Mean It”, “Dibs” and “Peter Pan”) from her debut album. Not to mention, her newest single “Yeah Boy” is slowly climbing up the charts with a potential to reach the No.1 spot.

3. Her ability to craft a good song

Kelsea has the amazing ability to craft not only a catch radio-friendly track but she’s also able to craft beautiful heartbreak songs like “Peter Pan” and “The First Time” and empowering songs like “Stilettos”. She’s vulnerable and she writes about real life situations, including her parents divorce (“Secondhand Smoke”). Leave no mistake about it, Kelsea is the real deal and her career is just getting started.

4. Instagram queen

Fun, sassy, cute and always flawless. Kelsea is a master at the Instagram game.

5. She's inspiring

If you haven’t had the opportunity to see Kelsea live, you need to. Her shows are a beautiful story of strength, bravery and courage. Every night she’s up on stage, she speaks from her heart and converses with her fans in a way that makes them feel like they’re her best friends. During every show and every song, Kelsea makes sure to let her fans know that it’s okay to be brave and to stand up for yourself. You are worth more than the ugly words others throw at you. “When you can, be an individual. That’s when you’ll be the happiest.”

6. She’s always a fan

Before Kelsea hit it big, she was a fan. She attended CMAFest and even stood in line to meet Taylor Swift. Although she’s hit it big, Kelsea will always be a fan at heart just like the rest of us.

7. Friends with the cool kids

Kelsea sure knows how to hang with the cool kids.

8. History making superstar

Although she only has one album out, Kelsea has already succeeded at having a history-making career. Her song “Love Me Like You Mean It” is the first debut single that hit No.1 from a female since Carrie Underwood’s “Jesus Take the Wheel”. Her third single “Peter Pan” hit No.1 making her the only female country artist to have three No.1 hits consecutively from a debut album. Time will only tell what kind of history Kelsea will be making next.

9. Pays tribute to her influences

Kelsea is always going out of her way to acknowledge those who have influenced her.

10. Role model

Kelsea is a role model for young women all across the globe. She’s a huge influence when it comes to her style, her music and her faith. She’s the real deal and country music's biggest sweetheart.
