3 Great Spots To Visit When You Go To Washington State

In the Pacific Northwest, there are plenty of activities and places to see in the summertime. There are a lot of hidden gems that not many people know about when coming here as tourists. As a Washington native, I am here to help those who may be in interested in finding some great locations. Washington is a great place to come to if you are an outdoorsy person.

This state has spots that can help you disconnect from the hectic life we all live in to appreciate nature and its beauty.

1. Lake Chelan, WA

This lake is located in Eastern Washington and is located in the Cascade mountains. The lake is the third deepest lake in the United States, according to an article from Britannica .com. This naturally-made lake is a great destination for you and your family to come if you love the heat and being on the water. Not a lot of people think of desert-like environments when they think of Washington.

Well, Washington is quite diverse as Lake Chelan is surrounded by mountains and desert. There are plenty of activities for you to do while you're there such as waterskiing, inner tubing, hiking, and even parachuting. If you are into water-sports this is the place to be.

This small town located near the Canadian border has access to the Pacific Ocean. This coastal community really shows its true beauty during the summertime because the beaches are always full of life. The activities that you can participate in while visiting are boogie boarding, kite flying, clam hunting, boating, swimming, and even making sand castles.

In fact, during the end of July they have a fun sand sculpture competition where hundreds of people come to compete. There also is a kite flying competition as well that happens over the summer.

This spot is my personal favorite as it is a very secluded area in which you are in the heart of the great outdoors. Also, the water is run off from the cascade mountains making the water super refreshing on a hot summer day. This location includes tons of humongous rocks for a great area to soak up the sun and post up for the day. The views here are worth taking pictures for as I highly recommend bringing a camera with. There are trails along the river that have some trees that have been there for hundreds of years.

Not a lot of people know of this spot as it took me 16 sixteen years to find this place in a state I have been living in my entire life. The activities that you can do while you are there are rock climbing, high diving, inner tubing, swimming, and rope swinging. What makes this spot so unique Is that there is a ton of wildlife all around when you are there. Animals such as deer, fish, snakes, birds, and lots more. If you are an outdoorsy person this is the place for you.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
