In addition to the sororities highlighted above, the Alabama Panhellenic Association also includes two Christian sororities: Alpha Delta Chi and Sigma Delta Tau. Lastly, here is some advice for the Potential New Members as you begin recruitment week. My biggest piece of advice is to spend time with your Rho Chis, J-Boards, and other girls in your recruitment group; many of my first and closest friends at college were girls I met during recruitment or girls I met because of recruitment since we pledged the same sorority at the end of the week. Not only can your Rho Chis offer helpful advice, but they provide a sense of comfort when you see a familiar upperclassman on campus once school actually starts. Further, enjoy recruitment week; chances are that you'll only experience this week once as a potential new member, and — with a positive attitude — it can be one of the most fun weeks of the year. As much fun as Bid Day is, don't rush through recruitment just to get to Bid Day. Remember to stay hydrated, carry an umbrella and a miniature fan, and be yourself. The active members were once in your shoes, so they understand what you're experiencing. Best of luck and enjoy recruitment week!
