College is the best and worst time of your life. From the best times being when you and your best friends go on adventures at midnight and climb billboards to the worst times being when you and your "forever" boyfriend--who you gave everything up for--break up and you're left without a shoulder to cry on. Sometimes we all get so caught up in the drama and rush of being in college, we forget the small things that make us who we are. It is the time to grow and find yourself. Just keep these 21 reminders in mind during the best four years of your life.

1.Take care of yourself...

because how you look when you're 20 is because of how you were raised. How you look at 30 is because of how you took care of yourself. Eat healthy and work out and don't forget to treat yo' self.

2. Call your parents…

because we don’t realize that as we are growing up, our parents are growing old. You wouldn’t be where you are today without their support and unconditional love.

3. Forgive...but that doesn’t mean forget...

because everything happens for a reason and you are meant to learn from something from it. Just remember karma's payback will be a bitch. The universe doesn’t forget either.

4. It’s a bad day…not a bad life...

because what goes down must come up. It could always be worse. Spilled coffee on your cute outfit in class? At least you didn’t trip on a cord, faceplant, and shatter a thousand dollar projector in front of your class like I did. Like I said, it could be worse

.

5. Aim for quality…

because you deserve it. It may seem like the most important thing right now is to be in a relationship because of the engagement and baby pictures on Facebook. Don’t sell yourself short and wait for someone worth your while. You have our entire life to be with someone. This is the time to grow to become the best version of yourself.

6. Speak up…

because you don’t need to put up with anyone’s shit. Stand up for yourself and hold it down.

7. Sometimes it's better to hold your tongue…

because saving a friendship or relationship is more important. It’s not always about being right or coming out on top

8. If it doesn't matter in 5 years...

don't give it more than 5 minutes because you shouldn't stress yourself out over something that doesn't come with permanent consequences. Dropped your taco? Worry about it for 4 minutes and 59 seconds max and go get another one.

9. Tell the truth...

because it will come out eventually. Dealing with everyone calling you a liar and asking you why you did it will be much worse than being straight up the first time around. If you ate your roommate's ice cream, just tell her.

10. Everybody makes mistakes, everybody has those days...

because Hannah Montana said so. Nobody's perfect including you. Just accept that and move on. You are going to mess up more than you can imagine. How you deal with the consequences will show your true character.

11. Never think you're above the rule...

because you're special but not that special. Rules are set for a reason, you're better off following them...most of the time.

12. You don't owe anyone anything...

because you're allowed to say no. Never forget that that is always an option. Do what's best for you. You're allowed to be selfish in college.

13. Do what you want...

because at the end of day what matters is that you're happy. No matter what you do, someone is not going to happy with it. Say bye to the haters and do your thing.

14. Don't be afraid to ask for help...

because there's no way you can get through college without it.

15. Learn...

because that's why you're in college. Don’t complain on Twitter about how you weren’t taught how to manage money in school or don’t know anything about taxes. If you want to know something, go out and learn about it.

16. Be independent...

because it's important to be your own person. Don't be someone that can't go anywhere or do anything alone.

17. Get involved in something other than your sorority...

because Greek life isn't everything. As amazing as Greek life is for making friends and connections, get involved in an organization that is specific for the career path you want to take. You'll be amazed by the opportunities it'll offer.

18. It is possible to get good grades and have fun...

because that's called good time management. Learn to prioritize. Major in what will get you a job and minor in what you love. Party with your friends and don't miss out on the fun.

19. Learn how to act professional...

because in a few short years you'll be in the real world. How you carry yourself says a lot about you.

20. Sometimes it's better to ignore people...

because you don't need anyone that has bad vibes in your life.

21. It could get ugly, before it gets beautiful...

because sometimes bad things do happen to good people. Your real friends will stay by and support you through the bad times. Having a support system during college is crucial. The people who are there for you during the bad, deserve to be there for the good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
