It's the second week back in class, and there are pitfalls everywhere. Whether it's trying--and failing-- to connect with friends, realizing you forgot to pack that one, very important thing, getting whatever virus is going around campus this month, or anything in between; college can really suck sometimes. So here are a list of five things that can help you make it through, or at the very least, keep your head from exploding.
1. Netflix, Hulu, YouTube...
Watch anything, really, as long as it's something you enjoy-- escaping into another reality can help you not want to do anything rash in this one. You can also enjoy similar effects by reading a book or listening to music.
2. Create
Whether it's building something, making art, writing, or anything else you can think of, finding some sort of creative outlet can be a great way to relieve stress.
3. Destroy

4. Spend Time With Friends

Talking, going to an event, playing a game, or just hanging out with your friends can cheer you up, calm you down, and put things in perspective-- although, if a friend is stressing you out, well... I wouldn't recommend trying to have a friendly game of dodgeball with someone you're mad at.
5. Exercise
I know, I know: exercise is the worst enemy of at least half the college students in the world, but dancing, riding a bike, going for a swim, or just taking a walk are all exercise options, and exercise releases endorphins. To slightly modify a quote by Elle Woods, "Happy people just don't shoot their roommates."
So that's that.
Hopefully one of these techniques will help you relax and put things into perspective-- or maybe you're using one of these techniques already. And if none of these are working for you, here's a bonus: (number 6) go to sleep-- just trust me.
