4 Things We All Need For A College Christmas Wish List
Recovery

Christmas is coming.

A.K.A the best time of the year.

Each year, some of us out there wake up the morning of November 1st and scream at our friends, "What do you want for Christmas, punk?"

And while everyone knows and understands that the holiday season is about giving, this idea becomes lost when we see all the wonderful things we would love to buy our friends and family, yet our bank account says "not this year, honey." This is where we make a grave mistake.

Truthfully, your friends don't care what you give them. They'll love anything you do for them- it is the thought that counts. (And if they hate the gift and get salty with you? Drop 'em because they clearly don't appreciate you and no one has time to be mistreated).

If you're running short on ideas on what to get your friends this holiday season, look no further than the list below. All of your basic college desires and essentials have been listed below for holiday shopping convenience at little-to-no cost to you.

1. A Good GPA

Unfortunately, college is not Animal Crossing, so you cannot just take your GPA and mail it to your friend via a letter only for them to open it 3 months later when it is irrelevant, but you can still help them out. Drag them to the library and force feed them Starbucks until they complete an entire week's worth of work! Happy Holiday's, friend!!!

2. A Puppy

No one can afford a real dog in college, that is entirely too much money spent on food, toys and other care related items, so just purchase your loved one a stuffed animal instead. This way they are able to carry it from class-to-class while bawling their eyes out because they are still failing!

3. A Gift Card to Target

Who doesn't love Target? It is the perfect place to go when you want to forget you are a broke college student attempting to live their life to the fullest, but is doing a terrible job at doing so. All you need is to load $5 onto a gift card and let your friend loose in the dollar section. They'll be able to pick up all of the unnecessary things they desire to give themselves temporary happiness during their long hours of mourning over the death of their GPA. (Thanks, fuzzy socks!)

4. YOU!

Your friendship is the greatest and most affordable gift of all! Why let your friend drown in the college life alone? Join them! (We all know suffering is better when your friends are also suffering with you). You will be an unified team, prospering through this experience (in your dreams) together!

Being Invisible The Best Super Power

The best superpower ever? Being invisible of course. Imagine just being able to go from seen to unseen on a dime. Who wouldn't want to have the opportunity to be invisible? Superman and Batman have nothing on being invisible with their superhero abilities. Here are some things that you could do while being invisible, because being invisible can benefit your social life too.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
