Decaf, dark roast, vanilla bean frappe; whatever your favorite is, we all have a sweet spot in our hearts for coffee.
Coffee is what keeps us going, the only thing that makes waking up and getting out of bed each morning bearable. When I hear Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You," coffee is the first thing that comes to mind. Starbucks, and CC's, and PJ's, oh My! The beauty that is caffeine is the only way I can make it (on time) to my 8 am Spanish class. Coffee will always be there for me, even when I am at an all time low, and by all time low I am referring to the pure evil that is finals week.
Which leads me to a whole new way to love it: coffee during finals. This is the time where coffee lovers and non-coffee drinkers come together as one, and relate through the unbearable time. Coffee is our only real form of nutrition the entire 5 days of hell, and the only time it is acceptable to drink iced coffee and eat an entire bag of Doritos without being judged. Coffee gives me hope that I can make it through this tough time.
Coffee is beautiful in every shape in size; cream or sugar, grande or venti, it is always flawless. Coffee is the true definition of bae (before anyone else) since it is the first thing I think about when I wake up. It can cure both a Tigerland hangover and a calculus hangover in just the press of a button. I would also like to thank my Keurig for never giving up on me, your constant love and support is what keeps me going everyday. You are always there; early mornings and late nights, you always got my back.
I mean if it wasn't for coffee, we would never be the same. What would Friends be without Central Perk? How would Lorelai Gilmore be so sarcastic yet charming without her daily dose of Luke's coffee? The world would be a might scary place if it was't for the kindness that is coffee. So here's to you, our caffeinated love affair, always in our hearts and forever on our minds.
