Classes just started, which means early mornings, long walks (especially if you live in BBB or The Mount), and lots of work, work, work, work, work (to quote RiRi). Well, guess what? You're gonna be sleep deprived and exhausted. Here's the best spots to grab a cup of joe either before or between classes.
Cafe Kubal
Obviously had to put Kubal first because it's my absolute favorite. Come here between classes, grab a refreshing salad or sandwich, an iced mocha or chai, and chill out in this hipster-chic environment. It's perfect for study groups or just chilling solo waiting for the next class to start. 10/10 would recommend.
Starbucks on Marshall
The Starbucks on Marshall Street is usually super-crowded, so be prepared. Although the service is quick, it's still a little bit of a hassle if you're in a tizzy.
Dunkin in Schine
Schine Student Center is the hub of campus- it's packed, has tons of food options, and study space. It also has a Dunkin Donuts (#blessed). Sit in the back corner with your laptop and large iced coffee and study away.
Starbucks in Campus West
If you live in BBB, this Starbucks will become your second home. Just a block from the dorms, it's way less crowded than the Starbucks on Marshall and is ideal for late-night study sessions or early morning coffee runs before schlepping back to main campus. Plus, they take SUID (meaning it'll charge straight to your account on MySlice). Drink up.
People's Place
This hidden gem is in the basement of Hendrick's Chapel and is famous for being the only place on campus to sell Coca-Cola, along with cheap coffees and their signature "Austin Powers" coffee drink. Try it for yourself.
Funk N Waffles
Right behind Marshall Street, Funk N Waffles is the super-cool, music-inspired waffle shop that everyone loves (Nick Jonas visited last year). Aside from their wide variety of waffles, they also have different flavored coffees if you're feeling #adventurous. Try their lavender flavor or their dirty chai, I promise you'll love it.
